Objective: To observe the efficacy of acupotomy surgery combined with shock wave therapy on treatment of early necrosis of femoral heads(ONFH).Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of Femoral head necrosis planed in “Diagnosis and treatment of avascular necrosis of the expert advice” by Chinese Orthopaedic Association in 2007,and according to Ficat Staging Criteria, select 40 patients with early necrosis of femoral heads in the stage I and ?a.According to the draw, the patients were randomized into experimental group and control group. The patients in the control group were treated with only Acupotomy surgery. Those in the experimental group were treated with Acupotomy surgery in combination with shock wave therapy. The course was three months which need three small cycle, each small cycle treatment was 10 days. Before the treatment and in the treatment of 1,2,3 cycles after 20 days, record pain score by using Visual Analogue Scale(VAS score),while observe the function, deformity and joint activities improvement of hip joint by using Harris Hip Scores in both groups after treatment.Results:(1)VAS scores of the two groups significant decreased after treatment, and Harris hip scores significant rose. And the index between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.33%,which was significantly higher than in control group 72.41%(P<0.05).Two groups of patients were no obvious adverse events. Conclusion: The treatment of early necrosis of femoral heads with acupotomy surgery combined with shock wave therapy irradiation is efficient, safe for patients.
