Background:One of the diagnostic criteria for acute respiratory distress syndrome is to evaluate the severity of ARDS by assessing oxygen and degree with Pa02/Fi02(P/F)measured by arterial blood gas analysis. We hypothesized whether the pulse oximetry(Sp02)/inhalation oxygen concentration(Fi02)(S/F)could be used to evaluate the severity of ARDS in place of the P/F value. Methods:The data of this study are divided into two parts. The first part is t he healthy population control group, randomly collected 53 Kunming area and the past has not been to the field of healthy people in the air under the pulse oxygen saturation(Sp02)measurement;the second part is ARDS patients(grou p II)from 2015.12-2016.12 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medic al University,Department of severe medical hospital patients,a total of 161 ca ses of 161 ARDS patients are small tidal volume(6-8ml/kg);end of breath(PEEP = 5cmH20),and the comparison between S/F(SF)and P/F(PF)was carried out at the lower inhalation oxygen concentration measured by Spo2(maintaining Spo2≤97%)and Pa02.(P/F ≤ 300),moderate ARDS(P/F≤ 200)severe ARDS(P/F ≤ 100)according to the 2012 Berlin ARDS di agnostic criteria.Has a correlation with the critical value. The data of the two parts were compiled and the database was established with Excel. The data w ere analyzed by SPSS 19.0 statistical software. All the data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation. The correlation between the SF and PF was analy zed using the Spearman correlation between the two groups using the one-way ANOVA,and the correlation coefficient r was calculated. The second group u ses the ROC curve and the area under the curve AUC to calculate the S/F with the P/F in the mild ARDS(P/F ≤ 300),the moderate ARDS(P/F≤ 200)severe ARDS(P/F ≤ 100)correlations with the sensitivity and sp ecificity of the critical values.Results:1.There is a clear correlation between S/F and P/F(R = 0.955,P<0.05);2.The relationship between PF and SF in the second group at the sam e fraction of inspiration 02 can be expressed by the following regression equat ion:S/F = 68 + 0.67(P/F)[P<0.0001,r = 0.792)];3.When the PF rati o is between 300(mild ARDS),200(moderate ARDS)and 100(severe ARDS)The correlation of the corresponding SF was 269(sensitivity 95.7%,specificit y 92.9%),202(sensitivity 88.9%,specificity 87.9%),135(sensitivity 70.7%,sp ecificity 97.6%).Conclusions:1.SF can be used to evaluate the condition of ARDS in place of PF;2.The expression of PF and SF in the same fraction of inspiration 02 in patients with ARDS:S/F = 68 + 0.67(P/F)[P<0.0001,R = 0.792].
