ObjectiveThe plateau is an important strategic security land for our army to guarantee the territorial integrity of the country,to beat the terrorism and the separatism. In order to cope with all kinds of emergencies, the troops stationed in the encampment launching into plateau may become an important way of operations in the future.Facing hypoxia, cold and other harsh natural conditions, soldiers will cope with great physical and psychological pressure. Therefore, mental problems will come.Previous studies were mostly carried on mental health of stationed soldiers at high altitude. However, seldom were considering soldiers timely trooping into plateau.Research methods were focused on cross-sectional study. The longitudinal research was not usually used. With the deepening reform and strengthening of practical training, the troops stationed in the encampment will participate more and more tasks timely trooping into plateau, and gradually become regular. It is of great significance to research the dynamic changes in each stage of the training tasks of soldiers at high altitude, and to give suggestions for mental health service in specific periods and different groups for ensuring soldiers' mental health, improving operation efficiency and enhance the operation abilities of army. Therefore, this study takes soldiers timely trooping into plateau as the research object to investigate soldiers' mental changes and characteristics of different periods,so as to provide reference for mental health service for soldiers timely trooping into plateau.Subjects and MethodsA cluster sample of 700 soldiers at high altitude are taken as the research object, divided into the encampment build-up period, plateau stationed period, the exercise period and the returned period. The military acute stress scale(ASRSA),positive and negative emotion scale(PANAS),State Trait Anxiety Questionnaire(STA I),self rating Depression Scale(SDS),Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)are chosen as the assessment tools to evaluate soldiers' acute stress reaction, positive and negative emotional state, anxiety, depression, mental fatigue, insomnia.Using were used to evaluate the personality of training soldiers in high altitude.Results1.The changing characteristics of soldiers' acute stress reaction(1)There were significant differences in the scores of stress response(P<0.01),the highest in the encampment period, and the lowest in the return period.(2)Soldiers of less than 2 years, conscripts, high school and less education, unmarried, child, parents, introversion and emotional stable have significant difference in scores(P<0.05),the stage of encampment build-up period was the highest, and the return period was the lowest.(3)Soldiers of more than 3 years, non commissioned officers, college education, married, single, single, outgoing, emotionally unstable, except for some dimensions, the overall scores showed significant difference(P<0.05),the encampment stage was the highest, and the exercise period was the lowest.2.The emotional changing characteristics of soldiers' acute stress reaction(1)There was no significant difference in the scores of positive emotion in each stage. The negative emotion factor score were significantly different(P<0.01),the highest the plateau period, the lowest the return period.(2)Soldiers of less than 2 years, conscripts, college and below, single, multiple, parents, extraversion and emotional stability of soldiers, negative emotion were significantly different in scores(P<0.05),plateau stationed period was the highest, and return period was the lowest.(3)Soldiers of more than 6 years, sergeant, married, single, single, introverted and unstable soldier, negative emotion were significantly different in scores(P<0.05),the encampment stage was the highest, the return period was the lowest.3.The state anxiety changing characteristics of soldiers' acute stress reaction(1)The state anxiety factor scores were significantly different in different periods(P<0.01),the highest the exercise period, the lowest the encampment period.(2)Different military age groups, soldiers and officers, senior high school and below, and only, unmarried, not only parents, personality extraversion and emotional stable groups have significant differences in state anxiety scores(P<0.01),exercise period was the highest, encampment period was the lowest.(3)The state anxiety factor scores of junior high school and senior high school students and below were significantly different(P<0.05).(4)The state anxiety factor scores were significantly different for introverted personality and unstable emotion in different periods(P<0.01),the highest the encampment period, the lowest the return period.4.The depression changing characteristics of soldiers' acute stress reaction(1)The score of SDS was significantly different in periods(P<0.01),the highest in the plateau exercise period, the lowest in the encampment period.(2)For soldiers of less than 2 years and 3-5 years, soldiers and officers, senior high school and below, and only single, multiple, single parent, extroversion and emotional stability of soldiers, the SDS scores were significantly different in periods(P<0.05),plateau exercise period was the highest, encampment period was the lowest.(3)SDS scores of military officers and their parents were significantly different(P<0.01),the highest plateau stationed period, the lowest the exercise period.5.The characteristics of mental and fatigue changes of soldiers at high altitude(1)The physical fatigue and mental fatigue were significantly different in periods(P<0.01),the body fatigue in the encampment period was the highest, and in the return period was the lowest.(2)For soldiers of less than 2 years or more than 6 years, conscripts, high school and below, unmarried, and not only, and only single parents, personality introversion and emotional unstable, physical fatigue factor scores were significant difference(P<0.05),the encampment stage was the highest, the return period was the lowest;(3)Soldiers of less than 2 years, conscripts and officers, senior high school and below, unmarried, only, extroverted, stable soldiers, mental fatigue were significant difference in scores(P<0.05),the return period was the highest, the encampment period was the lowest.6.The changing characteristics of the soldiers' insomnia(1)The scores of insomnia were significantly different in periods(P<0.01),the highest in the plateau exercise period, and the lowest in the plateau stationed period.(2)In each age group, soldiers and officers, senior high school and below, unmarried, multiple, single parent, extroversion and emotional stable, insomnia scores have significant difference(P<0.05),the plateau exercise period was the highest, and the plateau stationed period was the lowest.(3)For who have parents, introverted and emotional unstable soldiers, insomnia scores were significantly different(P<0.01),the highest the encampment period, and the lowest the plateau stationed period.7.Personality characteristics of soldiers(1)The scores of extroversion and neuroticism were significantly lower than the military norm(P < 0.05),and the scores of psychoticism and hide were significantly higher than the military norm(P < 0.01).(2)The difference between the groups of hide inside and outside the military service to score, and neuroticism was statistically significant(P < 0.05),with the increase in length of service introversion and neuroticism score a "V" type change trend;l score increased with age was an inverted "V" type change trend.(3)There were statistically significant difference among conscripts, sergeants and officers in psychoticism and lie scores(P < 0.05),and the conscripts' score was significantly higher than non commissioned officers(P < 0.05).ConclusionSoldiers timely trooping into plateau have significant group characteristics in acute stress reaction, positive and negative emotion, anxiety, depression, mental fatigue, insomnia and somatic symptoms: the encampment build-up period, plateau exercise period is the need to focus on the stage;conscripts, only child and parent, introversion and emotional instability many soldiers psychological problems, psychological need is to focus on security of people. The difference to carry out psychological health care should be considered at high altitude training soldiers in mental health and population characteristics of the stage.
