[Objective]To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of cryoablation in treating atrial fibrillation and find potential risk factors of recurrence in patients with atrial fibrillation after cryoablation by collecting and analyzing their clinical datum.[Methods]we collected clinical characteristics of consecutive patients with atrial fibrillation who underwent catheter ablation in Fu wai Hospital from December 2013 to August 2016,and all were followed-up.210 patients were followed-up successfully, including 44 recurrence cases and 166 non-recurrence cases. The clinical characteristics of two groups were compared and analyzed retrospectively. The logistic regression analysis model was used to find independent risk factors by assessing the relationship between potential risk factors and recurrence of patients with atrial fibrillation after catheter ablation.[Result]210 patients were followed-up successfully.Among them the recurrence group were 44(21.0%)and the non-recurrence group were 166(79.0%),while men were 124(59.0%)and women were 86(41.0%)with mean age of 59.8±10.8 years.12 patients had postoperative complications(5.7%)。The two group’s difference in left ventricular enlargement, hypertension and cardiothoracic ratio were statistically significant. However, there were no statistically difference in duration, left atrial diameter,EF%,follow up period, height and weight etc.Set the associated factors as independent variables and recurrence outcome as dependent variable, the result of binary Logistic analysis showed ACEI/ARB was independent protective factor of recurrence(OR<1,P<0.05).the subgroup analyses revealed that ACEI/ARB could reduce the risk of postoperative recurrence in hypertension patients and diabetes mellitus was independent risk factor of recurrence for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.[Conclusion]cryoablation is an effective and safe method in converting atrial fibrillation.ACEI/ARB could reduce the risk of atrial fibrillation recurrence and diabetes were associated with recurrence of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation after cryoablation.
