The eye is an important organ of the human body, which can transfer the external optical stimulation to the central nervous system and produce vision.Light is an indispensable part of the human living environment, the spectral composition of the human environment is constantly changing, and the absorption spectrum of the eye refractive medium is not static. In the view of genetics, visual development is influenced by genetic factors and environmental factors. In order to obtain stable and effective information, the animal vision system should make the necessary adjustments according to the changes of the visual environment. With the progress of science and technology and the progress of society, the demand for lighting environment is increasing. The incidence of ametropia is increasing year by year, especially among young students,Myopia is more common.Because of this, the study of ametropia gradually by the attention of WHO,has become the focus of the world's health. In order to explore the impact of visual optical environment on the occurrence and development of ocular refraction, the author read a lot of literature. This paper describes the analysis of monochromatic etiology, animal model of myopia, myopia of light effect on ocular refraction and its mechanism of comprehensive. At last,I will give a brief prospect of artificial light choice in the future.
