Maternal Serum Markers Screening In Second-trimester And Its Relations With Adverse Pregnant Outcomes

Objective: Through the retrospective analysis of the second-trimester maternal serum screening date,to investigate the correlation between abnormal makers and adverse pregnant outcomes and to evaluate the predictive value of its result of high risk in the screening.Methods: A total of 9980 pregnant women which underwent the second-trimester maternal serum screening during their 15 20⁺⁶Results: While comparing with the normal group,the serum makers abnormal but low risk women had association with adverse pregnancy outcomes,among them,the risk of gestational hypertension disease such as preeclampsia and eclampsia and premature birth ?small for gestation age infants was higher in the high AFP group??2.0MoM?,the risk of premature rupture and premature birth was lower in the low AFP group?<0.6MoM?,the risk of small for gestation age infants was higher in low uE3 group??0.5MoM?and the risk of placenta previa ?stillbirth?small for gestation age infants was higher in the high AFP??2.0MoM?and high hCG??3.0MoM?group which shown statistical significance comparing with the normal group?P<0.05?;While in the High risk group the oligohydramnios?premature rupture?small for gestation age infants also had shown statistical significance compared with the normal group?P<0.05?;gestational weeks at Haidian Maternal and Child Health Hospital from May 2013 to May 2014 as the research objects,according to the result of the screening in 9980 pregnant women,high-risk group were found in 746 and 9234 were in low risk group and then based on the value of MoM?Multiple of Median?,the low risk group was divided into single serum maker abnormal group,including high AFP group?n=65?,low AFP group?n=629?,high hCG group?n=183?,low uE3 group?n=75?;There are 24 women with two abnormal serum makers,including high AFP and high h CG group?n=6?,low AFP and low uE3 group?n=4?,low AFP but high hCG group?n=14?;and three serum makers all normal group?n=8258?,pregnant outcomes were followed up.Conclusions: The abnormality of serum makers and the high risk in the second pregnant trimester is closed related to adverse pregnancy outcomes.So the abnormalities of serum markers like AFP,free ?-hCG,uE3 can be used to predict the outcome of the pregnancy and women with abnormal serum makers should be take seriously monitored during their pregnancy.
