To study the prevalence and related influencing factors of MS. Univariate logistic regression was used to select the influencing factors of MS and multivariate logistic regression to analyze risk factors. Results:Of 215 people from 2 general hospital in binzhou, 201 people had complete information. The response rate was 93.49%. 61 people were suffered from MS, and the prevalence was 30.3%. 20% of them had 3 risk factors of MS. By univariate logistic regression analysis, the result show that smoke, drink, obesity, amount of salt, fatty liver and chronic disease history were related factors of MS in retired hospital staff.Multivariate logistic regression analysis show that smoke, drink, amount of salt, fatty liver, chronic disease history were the independent risk factors of MS,and regular exercise was protective factors. Conclusion:The prevalence of MS of retiree in Binzhou hospital is higher than before, and 20%of them had 3 risk factors of MS. Smoke, drink, amount of salt, fatty liver, chronic disease history were the risk factors of metabolic syndrome, regular exercise was protective factor. To deal with related risk factors, effective measures should be taken, such as giving up smoking, drinking a little, decreasing salt intake, avoiding high-fat diet, increasing exercise times.
