Investigation Of Mosquito Species And Their Carrying Viruses Rates In Muangsing County Of Luangnamtha Province,Lao PDR

【Objective】To understand the mosquito species and the rate of poisoning in Muangsing county of Luangmamtha province,Lao PDR,and to provide evidence for the prevention and control important mosquito-borne diseases 【Methods】The adult mosquitoes were collected by lamp-traps method overnight,and IV-larvae were collected from different mosquito breeding sites,identifying them by morphological classification method;The virus was isolated and identified by cell inoculation and RT-PCR.Calculate the rate of poisoning 【Results】A total of 21780 mosquito 11 genera,44 species were collected,of those Culex tritaeniorhynchus,and Anopheles sinensis belonged to local adult predominant species,their rates were 54.4%(11600/21325)and 39.28%(8377/21325)of total collected adult mosquito respectively;IV-larvae rates of Ar.flavus and Cx.mimeticus were higher than the others,their rates were 43.42%(198/456)and 18.86%(86/456)of total collected IV-larvae respectively.Four strains of mosquito-borne flavivirus and four Banna viruses were isolated from Culex tritaeniorhynchus.The positive rates of the three strains of Banna virus,Was 15.56%(14/90)and 7.78%(7/90).The positive rate of Anopheles sinensis was 42.86%(3/7)【Conclusion】The mosquito species were very rich in Muangsing county of Luangmamtha province,Lao PDR,and Culex tritaeniorhynchus and Anopheles sinensis belonged to local predominant mosquito species,from the three subfamily Culex mosquitoes isolated 14 mosquito virus and four Banna virus,isolated from Anopheles The positive rates of the three strains of Banna virus,mosquito virus and Banna virus were 15.56%(14/90)and 0.08%(7/90)respectively.To provide the basis for the local health sector to strengthen the monitoring of the vector media and its suspected cases.
