It is the peak time of mosquito population when the World Expo in Shanghai. Aedes albopictus which is the vector of dengue fever, is one of the main mosquito·species in Shanghai. The aim of the study is to prevention and control the mosquito borne diseases, reduce the mosquito-borne disease outbreak risk, accurately grasp the Expo area mosquito population and seasonal fluctuation. The study used CO2 mosquito trap captured adult mosquito in Huangpu District of Shanghai Expo area, each 10 days of March to November of 2007 and 2008.The result shows that the three kinds of mosquitoes within the region before construction of the Expo were Culex pipiens which 71.9% of the total catched,Aedes albopictus 27.8% and only 0.3% of Cx.The regional infrastructure construction started since 2008. The kinds of mosquitoes within the region were still same as before, but the Constitute of moquitoes changed. It was Culex pipiens which 43.5% of the total catched, Aedes albopictus which 54.5% of the total catched and 2.0% of Cx. These changes contributed to the changed mosquito breeding by the construction which changed the environment. Culex breeding environment are mainly hidden well, rain water wells and other water-based breeding ground for spawning, and breeding of Aedes albopictus eggs are in clean water small type water. But the seasonal fluctuation of the mosquito did not change. It shows the environment change does not affect the peak density of mosquitoes, suggesting that the mosquito peak period during the Expo maybe still the July and October. To study the difference between the red box and CO2 trap in mosquito surveillance. It used red box and CO2 trap surveillance the mosquitoes three times a month in the Huangpu district of 2010 Shanghai Expo area in 2008. Red box caught 80.5% Culex pipiens pallens of adult; CO2 trap caught 55.9% Aedes albopictus of adult. The proportion of female mosquitoes caught·by CO2 trap was higher than the red box. It is statistically related to each other·by red box and CO2 trap surveillance the Culex pipiens pallens and Aedes albopictus. Red box is suitable for the monitoring of Culex pipiens pallens; and CO2 trap is most appropriate for the monitoring of Aedes albopictus. To study the relationship between Temperature, rainfall and density of Aedes albopictus. With a multiple stepwise regression made with stata 10.0, study the relationship between temperature, rainfall and Aedes albopictus density in Huangpu and Luwan district of Shanghai EXPO area in 2007. The factor of temperature had been in the regression equation in all two areas, but the factor of rainfall had not been. The comparison showed the intercept was no difference between Luwan and Huangpu area and the slope of temperature was 0.060 higher in Luwan than in Huangpu area. The way of environmental factors and human factors affecting the density of Aedes albopictus is combined the meteorological factors. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Surveillance, CO2 trap, Red box, Aedes albopictus, Mosquito Constitute, Mosquito density, Meteorological factor | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
