The OpenEHR Modeling Practice Guide And Cooperative Tool Development On Medical Information

In order to promote the interoperability among medical information and solve the problems of bad expandability and poor maintainability in medical information systems,the openEHR(open Electronic Health Records)foundation has published a set of openEHR specifications.Its kernel is to separate information and knowledge via the two-layer modeling approach.The two-layer modeling approach enables the domain specialists to comprehend domain knowledge models(namely archetypes and templates).Then it is possible for domain specialists to control domain knowledge in information system.Domain specialists need to learn many openEHR specifications even informatics knowledge to build archetypes and templates,which makes the openEHR modelling hard,At present,the method expression of many feasible openEHR clinical modelling methods is simple and abstract.So,it is impossible for domain specialists to model directly,for there is no perceptual and easy comprehending modeling practice guide.At the same time,as the maximum data set,archetypes'entire building process needs many specialists to cooperate,perfect and reach consensus.Currently,there is no domestic cooperative tool,which can support the cooperative flow of openEHR modelling.To solve the above problems,this paper carried out a study on openEHR modeling practice guide and cooperative tool development on medical information,for the sake of building modelling practice guide,which can guide domain specialists to build archetypes directly,and develop domestic cooperative tool.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1)Firstly,the openEHR specifications were analyzed in detail.The goal and structure(namely reference model,archetype model and service model)were introduced.Then the two-layer approach was overviewed.The paper analyzed reference model and archetype model emphatically,including reference model's layers,every layer's significance,archetype 's content,format and composition.It is the design of reference model and archetype model that makes information and knowledge apart,at the same time,archetypes are tightly connected with clinical business concepts,which enables domain specialists to comprehend domain knowledge models;2)Secondly,this paper investigated current modeling approaches at home and abroad,extracted the key points of modeling.In order to offer more perceptual instruction,this paper built a modelling practice guide which can help specialists to build archetypes directly according to current modelling methods and clinical reality.One application case was chosen to verify the practice guide;3)Finally,the openEHR cooperative modeling demands were analyzed.The paper proposed cooperative modeling process and steps it ocntained.A cooperative tool was developed based on current archetype editor and cooperative flow.At last,the archetype translation was chosen as an experiment case to verify the feasibility of cooperative tool.
