Objective: Analyzing thecharacteristics of vertebral artery dissecting aneurysm, and explore theclinical effect of various endovascular treatments. Methods: Demographic(gender, age)andclinical characteristics(history of hypertension, history of diabetes, smoking history, drinking history),clinical symptoms, admission hunt-Hess grade, modified Fisher grade, location, morphology of the aneurysm were collected from 32 patients presenting with vertebral artery dissecting aneurysm at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between January,2012 and December,2016.chi-square test were performed to identify the effectiveness of endovascular treatment. Results: 32 patients fulfilled with inclusion criteria,of which 20 were male and 12 werefemale. The mean age was 48.7±10.2 years old.21(65.6%)cases aged between 30-50 years old.Age of allpatients were in Gaussianl distribution.26(81.25%)of 32 patients with favorable outcome(mRS score in0~2),There were significant differences in mRS scores between at admission and discharge(2? =4.65;P=0.031).Conclusion: Patients between30-50 yeas old have a high rate of vertebral artery dissecting aneurysms.Endovascular treatment of vertebral artery dissecting aneurysms is a safe and effective treatment, and with a favorable outcome.Clinical outcomes depend mainly on the pre-procedural clinical state of the patient.
