The Study Of Six-ingredient Rehmannia Ointment Massage On Promoting The Physical Growth Of Preterm Low Birth Weight Infants

ObjectiveTo make Six-ingredient rehmannia to ointment in accordance with the modern technology,observing the effect of Six-ingredient rehmannia ointment massage on the physical growth of preterm low birth weight,exploring new way of classic prescription,enriching the safe,effective and acceptable intervention of preterm low birth weight infants.Methods75 preterm low birth weight infants were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,30 infants each group after exclude,reject.The experimental group received massage with Six-ingredients rehmannia ointment,control group received massage with Johnson's baby massage oil,20 minutes each treatment,the next day 1,3 times a week,12 times a course,2 courses altogether.Each infant received assessment of TCM syndrome(syndrome mark sheet of preterm low birth weight infants)and physical growth(weight,length,head circumference)before and after 2 courses.Performed analysis to the data above.ResultsAssessment of TCM syndrome: experimental group before joined group(35.63±2.55),after 2 courses(40.60±3.74);control group before joined group(34.70±3.01),after 2 courses(38.03±4.03);marks of two groups before joined group showed no difference(P>0.05);marks of two groups after 2 courses showed difference(P<0.05);marks showed difference before and after 2 courses in group(P<0.01).General condition of two groups improved,experimental group better than control group.Assessment of physical growth: weight of experimental group before joined group(3.82±0.36),length(52.78±2.03),head circumference(35.57±0.71),weight of experimental group after 2 courses(6.12±0.44),length(61.32±2.40),head circumference(40.54±0.98);weight of control group before joined group(3.97±0.29)?length(53.18±1.39),head circumference(35.86±0.59),weight of control group after 2 courses(5.88±0.36),length(59.46±1.89),head circumference(39.94±0.77),marks of two groups before joined group showed no difference(P>0.05);marks for weight and head circumference of two groups after 2 courses showed difference(P<0.05);marks for length of two groups after 2 courses showed difference(P<0.01),experimental group better than control group.ConclusionsSix-ingredients rehmannia ointment massage improve preterm low birth weight infants' mental state,appetite,sleep,bowel movement and so on.Six-ingredients rehmannia ointment massage improve the growth of weight,length,head circumference of PLBW.Six-ingredients rehmannia applied to the skin by means of massage,aiming to increase the therapeutic effect of the technique massage.Ointment massage innovate the way of Six-ingredients rehmannia,emboding the advantages of infantile massage combined with classic prescription,being the effective intervention of preterm low birth weight infants,worthy of further exploration in clinical.
