Objective The aims of this study were to investigate the factors of NAFLD associated with the presence of NAFLD in a nonobese population. Methods From January 2016 to February 2017,patients were treated in the physical examination center China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University.Individuals were excluded from the study if they liver cirrhosis,drug-induced liver disease, autoimmune disease.Individuals were also excluded from the study if they consumed excessive amounts of alcohol(>210 g per week for men and >140 g per week for women).Subjects who combined with severe cardiovascular disease, pulmonary function failure and renal failure were also excluded from the study.Consequently,1608 subjects who were aged over 18 years were included in the study. The subjects' biochemical parameters were evaluated after they had fasted overnight. The biochemical parameters assessed included levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(CHOL),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and detected liver function index such as ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,ALB.All participants underwent general physical examination, include weight?height. All participants were recorder age?gender.Detect metabolic index such as fasting blood glucose.Calculate the BMI.Detect liver stiffness(E)and controlled attenuation parameter(CAP).The study analysis and compare the difference of the NAFLD prevalence rate between obese population and nonobese population.Continuous variables are expressed as the means(±standard deviations)and they were compared using Student t-test.Categorical variables were compared using the chi-square test.To evaluate the factors associated with the presence of NAFLD in nonobese population, univarialbe and multivariate binary logistic regression analysis was performed using the variables that had p-values of <0.05 in the univariate analysis. All the statistical analyses were conducted using IBM SPSS software version 19.0.Results In the nonobese population group, the prevalence of NAFLD is 10.37%,7.5% among females,14.25% among males, whereas in the obese population, the prevalence of NAFLD is 62.3%,62.3% among females,62.4% among males. In the nonobese subjects, the prevalence of NAFLD is the lowest at the age of 30-39 in both males and females. The prevalence of NAFLD gradually increase with age,the highest prevalence of NAFLD in non-obese subjects is over-60.the prevalence of NAFLD among males is higher than females among the non-obese subjects of all ages.In the obese population group, the prevalence of NAFLD amongmales is the lowest at the age of 20-29,the highest prevalence is at the age of 30-39.The lowest prevalence is at the age of 30-49 among females, the highest prevalence is at the age of 20-29.The prevalence of NAFLD in non-obese subjects is lower than obese subjects at all ages in both males and females. The prevalence of NAFLD in non-obese subjects is lower than obese subjects at all level of TG.The prevalence of NAFLD in non-obese subjects is lower than obese subjects at all level of CHOL.The prevalence of NAFLD in non-obese subjects is lower than obese subjects at all level of glucose in bothe males and females. The abnormal rate of ALT in non-obese subjects is lower than obese subjects. The significative odds ratio(OR)of NAFLD in non-obese subjects was BMI(1.311)?E(1.342)?ALT(3.256)?TG(2.545).Conclusion There are differences in the prevalence of NAFLD between non-obese subjects and obese subjects, viewed from the level of age?gender?TG?CHOL and Glu point. The significative risk factors of NAFLD in non-obese subjects was BMI(1.311)?E(1.342)?ALT(3.256)?TG(2.545).
