Acute pulpitis is an acute inflammation of the pulp tissue, due to increased blood flow into the pulp, resulting in increased pressure in the pulp cavity, increased stimulation of the nerve and the pain is intensified. They are characterized by acute onset accompanied by severe pain. However, the factors that cause pain include internal and external factors, but there is no unified view, especially the study of the relationship between the changes of pain in one day and the relationship between the onset of pain and daily life is still unclear. Objective:According to the research from the toothache survey about the changes of pain within 24 hours,we will analyze the time-related studies of pain changes within one day.The results can provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:As for the 80 patients who have been examined for acute pulpitis,we researched the patients' sex, age, tooth position, the characteristic of pain, the time when pain started, the time of getting up,eating meals, taking showers, and the time of going to sleep. Finally,we recorded and counted these by using SPSS19.0 software. Results:Toothache is caused by acute pulpitis. The onset time of pain is mainly during the evening to night from 7:00a.m.to 8:00a.m..In one day of activity(wake up,eat, bathe, sleep),the survey found an association with the time of occurrence of pain which is 7:00a.m.to 8:00a.m.Thestart of pain is associated with the time of waking up.But there is also pain in the evening to night.A day of activity and the disease time showed no association. The onset of pain in the late afternoon and late night showed no association. Conclusion:Acute pulpitis doesn't cause a lot of pain from day time to the evening, the onset of pain mainly starts in the early morning and late evening. The maximum number of people had pain at around 9:00pm,and the pain was most severe at around 10:00pm.There was a correlation between the time of getting up,eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, bathing and bedtime were associated with pain.
