ObjectiveTo observe the effect of biofeedback therapy on the psychological and physiological responses of elderly patients with essential hypertension and type 2diabetes,explore the effect of biofeedback therapy on elderly patients with essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes,so as to provide some practical and theoretical basis for the treatment of hypertension and diabetes in the elderly.MethodsChoose the Patients with essential hypertension who were diagnosed with the criteria recommended by the WHO and type 2 diabetes patients who were diagnosed as WHO(1999)in a village in Sichuan,Yibin.According to the entry criteria and exclusion criteria,40 elderly patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. At the same time,40 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group had20 cases.Experimental methods and procedures:(1)The basic information of the research object was collected by using self-made general information questionnaire(including age, gender, education level,etc.)(2)The blood pressure of the treatment group and the control group were measured, and the blood glucose values in the treatment group and the control group were recorded as the initial value.(3)Use the biofeedback relaxation training module to treat the patients in the treatment group and the diabetes group. The patients were gradually relaxed under the guidance of the guide language,25 minutes for each treatment, two times a week,A total of 8 times. After the end of treatment, hypertension treatment group measured right arm blood pressure as the end and recorded the value, diabetic treatment group measured random fingertip blood glucose values and recorded.(4)After all members of the treatment group completed biofeedback therapy. The blood pressure and random blood glucose were collected in the treatment group and the control group once again.Results1.After treatment, the blood pressure of hypertension group showed a downward trend. After the eight treatment, systolic blood pressure(t=5.65,p=0.00),diastolic bloodpressure(t=3.18,p=0.00)and pulse pressure(t=4.87,p=0.00)were significantly lower than before the first treatment, the difference was statistically significant.2.After treatment, the blood glucose level of the diabetic group showed a downward trend. After the eight treatment, the blood glucose level was significantly lower than that of the first treatment, the difference was statistically significant(t=2.02,p=0.04).3.After the eight biofeedback treatment, the left hemisphere theta wave(t=2.29,p=0.03)of the Hypertension treatment group was significantly lower than the baseline level before treatment, and the RMSSD(t=-3.12,p=0.00)and SDNN(t=-2.6,p=0.02)values were significantly higher than those before treatment. The difference was statistically significant.4.After the eight biofeedback treatment,The right brain theta(t=-2.12,p=0.00),left hemisphere theta(t=-2.20,p=0.04)and heart rate(t=-2.71,p=0.01)of the diabetes treatment group were significantly lower than the baseline level before treatment, and the skin temperature(t=5.94,p=0.00),RMSSD(t=2.44,p=0.03)and SDNN(t=2.25,p=0.04)values were significantly higher than those before treatment. The difference was statistically significant.5.The improvement of blood glucose in the treatment group was not related to gender, age, marital status, educational level, family address, residence, and spouse relationship, and the relationship between several children and children(p>0.05)6.The hypertension treatment group before and after treatment and follow-up of 6months and 3 months of contraction pressure(F=6.69,p=0.00),diastolic blood pressure(F=4.91,p=0.00)and pulse pressure(F=4.19,p=0.00)were analyzed by one-way ANOVA,the results show that there are obvious inter group effect, the post LSD method to test the hypertension the treatment group before and after treatment, the systolic blood pressure was significantly decreased(p=0.001),compared with decreased significantly after treatment(p=0.010),follow-up of 6 months compared with before treatment, systolic blood pressure decreased significantly after treatment(p=0.031),and compared the systolic blood pressure was significantly decreased(p= 0.027);diastolic blood pressure after treatment compared with before treatment significantly reduce(p=0.002),follow-up of 3 months compared with before treatment significantly decreased(p=0.007),follow-up of 6 months compared with before treatmentsignificantly decreased(p=0.002),PP group before and after treatment were significantly decreased(p=0.003),the differences were statistically significant. The diabetes treatment group Before and after treatment and were followed up for 3 months and 6 months of random blood glucose values were single factor variance analysis, the results show that there are significant effects between the groups(F=7.44,p=0.00),using LSD method to test after the follow-up of 3 months compared with before treatment significantly decreased(p=0.001),follow-up of 6 months compared with before treatment decreased(p=0.001),the differences were statistically significant.Conclusion1.The results of this study show that the biofeedback therapy is effective in the treatment of elderly patients with essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes, can effectively reduce blood pressure and blood sugar.2.Through the biofeedback therapy, elderly patients with essential hypertension left hemisphere theta wave amplitude decreased,SDNN and RMSSD increased significantly, elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus left and right brain theta wave amplitude and heart rate decreased significantly,SDNN and RMSSD increased significantly,it can be inferred that the biofeedback therapy is helpful to inhibit the sympathetic nerve excitability of the elderly patients with hypertension and reduce the blood pressure and blood sugar.3.Improvement of sleep quality and improvement in blood pressure and blood glucose in patients is not affected by gender, age, education level and other factors, and if the patient can be in accordance with the requirements of the correct method of treatment and adhere to relax training, can get a better therapeutic effect.4.biofeedback therapy has a long term regulation of blood pressure in elderly patients with essential hypertension and random blood glucose in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes, and the rise in blood pressure and blood sugar may be related to patients' do not insist on family practice.
