Preliminary Study On The Distribution Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution In Patients With Functional Constipation

Object:Through the collection and observation of patients with functional constipation,to explore the distribution of TCM constitution types of functional constipation patients.The aim of this study is to investigate the TCM constitution of functional constipation and to explore the distribution of physical constitution,and to provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of functional constipation.Method:Through the clinical questionnaire survey method,184 patients with functional constipation are collected and classified according to the "TCM constitution classification and judgment table".The syndromes are established according to the "syndrome differentiation standard of chronic constipation TCM diagnosis and treatment".Use Microsoft Excel to build the database and enter the data.Use SPSS20.0 statistical software to analyze the data.Findings:The TCM constitution type distribution of patients with functional constipation is significantly different.The frequencies of TCM constitution types of functional constipation patients in turn is Yin deficiency type(30.43%)>damp heat type(16.3%)>phlegm dampness type(13.04%)>Yang deficiency type(9.79%)= Qi deficiency type(9.79%)>normal type(8.7%)>Qi depression type(6.52%)>blood stasis type(3.26%)>special intrinsic type(2.17%).The main constitution of the youth group,middle age group and old age group is Yin deficiency type,damp heat type and phlegm dampness type.Functional constipation patients in the sex distribution,female patients are more than men.Low weight group is mainly Yin deficiency type,damp heat type,Qi deficiency type and Qi depression type.Weight normal group is mainly Yin deficiency type,damp heat type and phlegm dampness type.Overweight group is mainly Yin deficiency type,damp heat type and normal type.The main constitution of the obese group is phlegm dampness type,Yang deficiency type and Qi deficiency type.Of the 184 patients with functional constipation,57 have constipation family history,indicating that the family history of constipation has a certain effect on the formation of functional constipation.The TCM syndrome distribution of patients with functional constipation is significantly different.The order of the frequencies of TCM syndromes:liquid and blood deficiency syndrome(26.63%)>intestinal heat syndrome(21.74%)>spleen and kidney Yang deficiency syndrome(19.02%)>lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome(17.39%)>intestinal Qi stagnation syndrome(15.22%).Conclusion:The TCM constitution types is mainly Yin deficiency type,damp heat type and phlegm dampness type in patients with functional constipation.The TCM syndromes in patients with functional constipation is mainly liquid and blood deficiency syndrome,intestinal heat syndrome and spleen and kidney Yang deficiency syndrome.This study explores the distribution of TCM constitution types and TCM syndromes in patients with functional constipation,which suggests that we should control the functional constipation in combination with arguing disease,syndrome and constitution.By adjusting the patient’s constitution,we can improve the efficacy of Chinese medicine.
