Clinical Observation Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Decoction Combined With EGFR-TKI In Treatment Of Non-small-cell Lung Cancer

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu decoction combined with EGFR-TKI treatment of non-small cell lung cancer by observing the short-term curative effect,symptom improvement,progression free survival and adverse reaction of the Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Decoction combined with epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.Methods Totally 50 patients with non-small cell lung cancer in IIIB/IV from January2014 to December 2015 enrolled in the Department of Chinese medicine and the Department of oncology of affiliated Provincial Hospital of Medical University of Anhui were in accordance with the inclusive criteria.The 50 patients were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group(27 cases)received traditional Chinese medicine and EGFR-TKI treatment,while control group(23 cases)only accepted EGFR-TKI.Continued treatment until tumor progression or discontinuation of treatment due to adverse side effects.Then to observe the short-term curative effect,symptomatic improvement,PFS and the adverse reactions in the two groups.Results The remission rate of the treatment group was 70.37%,which was higher than control group(56.52%),but the difference was not statistically significant(P?0.05).The KPS score and progression free survival of the treatment group were better than those of the control group,P?0.05,and there was significant difference between the two groups.In the improvement of clinical symptoms,cough and expectoration were significantly improved in the treatment group than in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant.Then in the case of hemoptysis and chest pain symptoms,the treatment group was better than the control group,but there was no significant difference between the two groups.In terms of adverse reactions,the incidence of rash and diarrhea in treatment group was 62.96% and 33.33%,less than86.95% and 60.87% in the control group,and there was no significant difference between the two groups,but the severity of rash and diarrhea in Chinese medicine combined with EGFR-TKI group was lower than that in control group.Conclusion Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu decoction combined with EGFR-TKI treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer can significant relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce the severity of rash and diarrhea,stable quality of life of patients,prolong progression free survival,is a safe and effective method for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
