Objective As the clinical phenomenon of prosthesis' dislocation often occurs after the zirconia prosthesis adhesion, especially the inlays,so the adhesion of zirconia ceramic dental materials becomes one of the main issues. The fact that zirconia prosthesis are always off the surface between the adhesive and zirconia ceramic has been found clinically. In order to study and improve the adhesion of zirconia prostheses, from the simple point of view of the experiment, this study selected inlay this form of prosthesis,by making a retention groove in the distal and mesial surface of the zirconia inlay,it is observed whether the preparation of the retention groove can improve the adhesion retention between the zirconia inlay and the adhesive;Whether the adhesion of the resin adhesive to the retention groove is superior to that of the glass ionomer;whether it can be widely used in clinical other types of zirconia prostheses. Methods Clinical collection of complete fresh in vitro maxillary molars 10,unified preparation of occlusal inlay hole type, sent to the processing plant CAD / CAM unified production of zirconia inlay, and analog contact with temporary adhesive.Experimental tooth cleaning clean dry, zirconia inlay with glass ionomer adhesive after the tensile test, record the inlay from the experimental teeth on the dislocation of the force value A.Use an ultrasonic scaler to remove residual adhesive from the test teeth. In the inline near the middle of the preparation of a depth of 0.5mm of the retention groove, simulated contact with temporary adhesive, the experimental tooth cleaning clean dry, zirconia inlay again with glass ion bonding adhesive, record the inlay from the experimental teeth on the dislocation of the force value B.Use the ultrasonic scaler to remove the adhesive remaining from the experimental teeth and simulate the contact with the temporary adhesive. The test teeth were cleaned and dried, and the zirconia inlay was adhered with a resin adhesive, record the inlay from the experimental teeth on the dislocation of the force value C.Result The T-test of group A(0mm)glass ion dislocation force and group B retention groove(0.5mm)glass ion dislocation force values,t= 7.609,Std=18.87,Std.Error=5.97,p<0.05.The difference was statistically significant, and the preparation of the retention group was lower than that of the untreated group. The correlation analysis between Time(T)and group A,p=0.72,p ?0.05;The correlation analysis between Time(T)and group B,p=0.121,p? 0.05.There was no correlation between the storage time and the retention force of the teeth. The T-test of group B(0.5mm)glass ion dislocation force and group C retention groove(0.5mm)resin adhesive dislocation force values,t =7.292,Std=28.80,Std.Error=9.11,p <0.05,the difference was statistically significant, the difference between the resin adhesive and the retention group was higher than that of the glass ion combined retention groove Group dislocation value. Conclusion The making of distal and mesial retention groove on Zirconia occlusal inlay can significantly improve its adhesion with the adhesive, enhance the retention force of zirconia inlay. And the adhesive effect of the resin adhesive with the retention groove is superior to that of the glass ionomer. The preparation of distal and mesial groove is simple and convenient,it is worth in the clinical wide promotion.
