| Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese herbal paste on cancer-related fatigue,to seek a simple and effective solution.Methods: 100 cases of cancer-induced fatigue from the Department of oncology,An Hui Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine during December 2013 to January 2017 were divided into half,according to similar age,social background and education level.The patients in the treatment group were given symptomatic treatment and the combination of ointment(5g every time,3 times per day).The control group:treated symptomatic therapy only.The fatigue duration,quality of life and the value of Hb of 100 patients were measured during the whole treatment procedure.Professor Xia Liming had the preparation of paste with the hospital.Four weeks were needed for the course of this treatment.Results: The PFS score of two groups had dropped,and the treatment group showed significant variety(P<0.05).The scores in physical function,role function,emotional function and cognitive function of the two groups were higher than before.The significant differences of scores(P<0.05)lied in the physical function,emotional function,cognitive function,social function and total health.The symptoms both of all were improved.The therapeutic effect was better in fatigue,shortness of breath,loss of appetite,nausea or vomiting,insomnia,constipation and economic difficulties(P<0.05).Conclusion: Traditional Chinese herbal paste treatment can have some certain advantages in relieve the fatigue caused by cancer. |
