| Abjective: The aim of this research is to observe the clinical efficacy on the treatment of Tourette Syndrome with Jing Xi Fang,and to explore clinical application of Jing Xi Fang in children with Tourette Syndrome.Methods : Using the method of randomized controlled trials,we collected 60 cases of children with Tourette Syndrome who sought medical advice in Hospital(T.C.M)Affiliated To Southwest Medical University from January 2015 to January 2017,and divided into two group—traditional Chinese medicine group and western medicine group — with 30 patients in each group.The traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with Jing Xi Fang,and the western medicine group was treated with Haloperidol for 10 weeks.Before and after treatment,the children of the two group were scored according to the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS)standard.And we evaluated the curative effect by analyzing the decrease situation.Results: Jing Xi Fang can improve the clinical symptoms in traditional Chinese medicine group including exercise-induced twitch,vocal tics,and had less side effect compare with the western medicine group.There were 2 cases onsat diarrhea in traditional Chinses medicine group,and after adjusting medication the symptoms disappeared.Western medicine group had 5 cases with nausea,vomiting and other gastrointestinal discomfort,2 cases with sleepiness,headache symptoms.Total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine group is 90.0%?There were 2 cases completely recovered,5 effectual cases,20 effective cases,3 ineffective cases.The Effective rate of Western medicine group is 93.3%,there were 4 cases completely recovered,6 effectual cases,18 effective cases,2 ineffective cases.Both groups see no significant difference between treatment.The study found that the traditional Chinese medicine Jing Xi Fang compared with haloperidol in Western medicine,can improve the symptoms of children with Tourette Syndrome and has less side effects than haloperidol. |
