Purposes:To investigate the expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinomas, and its relationship with salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma clinical parameters,so that it could provide a new procedure for the detection and treatment of salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma.Materials and Methods:In order to detect the expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin,all 50 cases were done with the method of immunohistochemical staining method.BTBD7 was positive at parts of cytoplasm, while E-cadherin was positive at parts of the cell membrane and cytoplasm,as a result, for standard,BTBD7 was positive for cell plasma obviously tan fine granular staining for standard, meanwhile E-cadherin was positive for the cell membrane in tan fine granular shading. The specimen were divided into groups according to the different clinical characteristics of patients(pathology subtypes, nerve invasion, hematogenous metastasis, clinical stage),for the statistical correlation analysis with SPSS 23.0 software, the chi-square test and tests exact probability method was used, and the Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to detect the correction,P<0.05 was considered as standard.Results:(1)Compared with normal salivary gland tissue, the expression of BTBD7 in salivary adenoid cystic carcinomas was significantly higher, among 50 cases, there were positive expression rate of 21 cases, the positive rate was 42%,the difference was statistically significant(P=0.011).The expression of BTBD7 was increased in poorly differentiated salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and there was significant difference in ? phase,? phase and ? phase,? phase(P=0.002).The positive expression rate of BTBD7 in the salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma with nerve invasion was as high as 63.64%,which was significantly higher than that of the tumor group without nerve invasion(21.43%),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.002).The positive expression rate of BTBD7 in 16 cases with hematogenous metastasis was 62.5%,which was significantly higher than that without metastasis, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.022).(2)Compared with normal salivary gland tissues, the expression of E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma(62%)was decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.018).The expression of E-cadherin was decreased in poorly differentiated salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and there was significant difference in ? phase,? phase and ? phase,? phase(P=0.002).The positive expression rate of E-cadherin in the salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma with nerve invasion was 45.45%,which was significantly lower than that of the tumor group without nerve invasion(75.86%),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.011).The positive expression rate of E-cadherin with hematogenous metastasis was 37.50%,which was significantly lower than that without metastasis(75.86%),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.011).(3)Among 50 cases of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, the expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin were both positive in 8 cases, the number of both negative in 6 cases, the number of positive respectively were 23 cases and 6 cases. With Spearman rank correlation analysis,it showed a negative relationship to the expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma(r=-0.419,P=0.002).Conclusions:In salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma,BTBD7 showed high expression, while E-cadherin showed low expression, and both of them have correlation with clinical pathology, nerve invasion and metastasis. The expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma show negative relationship.Signifiance:This experiment studied the expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, and found that both of them have correlation with clinical pathology, nerve invasion or not, metastasis and prognosis of patients,so that it provides a new index for the clinical assessment of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, and the detection of them at meanwhile may provide reference for biological behavior of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma cells. The expression of BTBD7 and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma show negative relationship, therefore, with silencing the expression of BTBD7 gene, may increase the expression of E-cadherin.thus reduce the transfer of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and improve its prognosis, maybe it could be a new kind of treatment.
