Objective: To research the expression of pyroptosis related proteins NLRP3,ASC,caspase-1,IL-1? and IL-18 in SACC and to analyze the correlation between them and the clinicopathological features of SACC patients. Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of NLRP3,ASC,caspase-1,IL-1? and IL-18 in 42 cases of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma,10 cases of tongue squamous cell carcinoma and 20 cases of normal glands. The clinicopathological data of 42 patients with SACC were sorted out and grouped, and the data were analyzed by SPSS22.0 statistical software. The components were compared by test and Fisher's exact probability method. The difference was statistically significant if P < 0.05.Results: NLRP3,ASC,caspase-1,IL-1? and IL-18 were highly expressed in SACC,and NLRP3,caspase-1,IL-1? and IL-18 were correlated with SACC pathological type,TNM stage, nerve invasion and distant metastasis.ASC was only related to SACC nerve invasion. There was no correlation between the expression level of each protein and the sex,age and tumor size of SACC patients. Conclusion: The protein related to pyroptosis is closely related to the pathological classification,TNM stage, nerve invasion and distant metastasis of SACC.
