Objective: To research the clinical characteristics and prognosis of breast cancer with calcification. Methods: Clinicopathological and follow-up date of 307 cases of invasive ductal breast cancer were analyzed restrospectively.Breast cancer patients who were underwent breast modified radical surgery or breast conserving surgery or simple resection based on characters of mammogram were observed. We expressed the difference of clinicopathological characters between the two groups either with calcification or not by ?2test.And we expressed association between calcification and other three prognostic factors by odds ratio estimates via logistic regression. We evaluated the association of calcification with pathological features and survival. The relative significance of each of the potential prognostic variables was tested using a Cox regression analysis. Results: In calci-group,pathological types, lymph node status,Her-2 expression, histological grade, disease stage?molecular subtype?Ki67 were higher than non-cal group(?2=21.551?8.480?10.558?6.283?9.682?16.380?3.947,P=0.000?0.037?0.005? 0.043? 0.021?0.001?0.047).Calci-group has higher risk in lymph node metastasis and Her-2 overexpression(P=0.022 ? 0.007,OR=1.736 ? 2.297,95%CI: 1.084-2.779 ? 1.260-4.187).Lymph node metastasis in calci-group was 1.736-fold that of non-cal group;Her2 overexpression in calci-group was 2.297-fold that of non-cal group.3-DFS for tumor with calcification was lower than which without calcification(84.42%vs96.15%).COX multivariate analysis revealed that calcification, lymph node status were the independent prognostic factors affecting DFS.(P=0.008?0.000(0.021?0.000),95%Cl: 1.380-8.510?1.231-12.144 and2.570-20.492)Conclusion: our study suggested that calcification is a poorer prognostic factor.
