Objective To research the expressions of TMPRSS4in human non-smallcell lung cancer(NSCLC) tissue and their correlations to clinicopathologicfeatures of NSCLC. Methods Reverse transcription PCR(RT-PCR), real-timefluores-cence quantitative PCR(FQ-PCR) and the Western blot methods wereused to analyze the expressions of TMPRSS4in a total of60specimens of NSCLC and the corresponding adjacent tissues, and21specimensof no cancerous lung tissues, then to analysis their correlations toclinicopathologic features. Results The expressions of TMPRSS4mRNA inNSCLC tissues were higher than adjacent tissues (7.28±2.15vs1.94±0.36;1.83±0.24vs0.74±0.17, P<0.01)on the consequences of the RT-PCRand FQ-PCR;he expressions of TMPRSS4protein in NSCLC tissues werehigher than adjacent tissues (72.03±0.75vs0.46±0.18,P<0.01)on theconsequences of the western blot; There was no TMPRSS4expression in nocancerous lung tissues; the expression rate of TMPRSS4protein of NSCLCtissues (49/60) were significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(38/60,P<0.01).There was significant correlation between the expression of TMPRSS4protein and the types of tumor, the degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage of NSCLC patients(P<0.05).Conclusion TheTMPRSS4are related to the development of human non-small cell lung cancer.
