Objective: To compare the curative effects between arthroscopic suture and screw fixations for posterior cruciate ligament tibial(PCL)avulsion fractures and provide theoretical basis for clinical decision making. Methods: From February 2013 to January 2016,29 cases with PCL tibial avulsion fracture were diagnosed at our department.By the Meyers-McKeever classification,12 cases were type ? and 17 cases were type ?.According to different fixations,15 cases were achieved suture fixations,14 cases were achieved screw fixations.Operation time, objective scores and knee range of motion(ROM)were compared after operation. Results: In this group,29 were followed up from 12 to 18 months(average,13.4months).During the follow-up period, there was no incision infection, malunion or nonunion of fracture and loosening of the fixation device. The X-ray films showed that all fractures were healed at the last follow-up.There was no significant difference in the objective scores and ROM between the suture fixation group and the screw fixation group, but the operation times of the two groups were(48.3±1.5)min and(36.4±1.5)min,and the difference was statistically significant Conclusions: Arthroscopic fixation with suture versus screw for posterior cruciate ligament tibial avulsion fractures can achieve satisfactory effects, but the screw fixation group had more advantages than the suture fixation group in operation time.Intraoperative fluoroscopy should be used to ensure anatomical reduction, and functional exercise should be performed at early stage.
