Effect Of Qizhuyin On Adiponectin In Obese Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients With Insulin Resistance

Objective:To observe the effect of Qizhuyin on serum adiponectin(ADPN)in obese type 2 diabetic patients with insulin resistance,To explore the possible mechanism of TCM treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),to provide objective experimental basis for TCM treatment of this disease.Methods:84 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with insulin resistance were randomly divided into Chinese medicine qizhuyin treatment group(42 cases)and Western medicine Metformin control group(40cases).The treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine prescription Qizhuyin,the control group was given Western medicine Metformin treatment.The course of treatment was 8 weeks.The changes of blood glucose,HbAlc,insulin,insulin resistance and adiponectin were observed before and after treatment.Result:1.Comparison of serum ADPN in the two groups:The levels of serum ADPN were improved in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),compared with the western medicine metformin group,the difference in the treatment groups was significant(P<0.05);2.Comparison of Blood glucose(PG/2hPG)、HbAlc and HOMA-IR in the two groups:The levels of Blood glucose(PG/2hPG)、HbAlc and HOMA-IR were reduced in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),compared with the western medicine metformin group,the difference in the treatment groups was significant(P<0.05);3.Comparison of BIM and WHR in the two groups:The levels of BIM was reduced in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),compared with the western medicine metformin group,the difference in the treatment groups was significant(P<0.05);There were no significant differences in WHR(P>0.05)between the two groups after treatment.Conclusion:1.Qizhuyin can improve serum adiponectin levels and reduce insulin resistance lever in obese type 2 diabetic patients with insulin resistance;2.Qizhuyin can significantly reduce the blood glucose and HbAlc levels in obese type 2 diabetic patients with insulin resistance;3.Qizhuyin can reduce the TCM symptoms and BMI index of obese type 2 diabetes mellitus;4.By improving serum adiponectin and reducing BMI in patients with diabetes mellitus,it may be one of the mechanisms of Qizhuyin to reduce blood glucose and insulin resistance in diabetic patients.
