Objective:To find a safe and effective cure for migraine by observing the effects of repeated shallow puncture by triangle-edged needle combined with conventional acupuncture in comparison with conventional acupuncture alone.Method:A total of 60 patients with migraine were enrolled according to clinical inclusive criteria and were divided randomly to two groups according to the random number table. There were 30 patients in each group. One group was treatment group, treated by repeated shallow puncture with triangle-edged needle combined with conventional acupuncture;another group was control group, treated by conventional acupuncture alone. In the treatment group, the frequency of bloodletting was once a week and that of conventional acupuncture was once per day,6 times per week.In the control group, the frequency of conventional acupuncture was once per day,6 times per week. Each course of treatment of each group was 7 days. There were 4 courses in total. After 4 courses, the scores of VAS and headache of two groups, both before and after treatment, were observed and compared, and were addressed by means of statistical analysis.Results:1.There's no statistical difference in common clinical data between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and the common clinical data of the two groups are comparable.2.Immediate analgesic effect:Before treatment, there's no statistical difference in VAS scores between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and the VAS scores of the two groups are comparable. After being given the first treatment, one hour later the VAS scores in both groups show significant improvement in comparison with those before treatment(P>0.05).Compare the decreasing degrees of the VAS scores between the two groups after the first treatment, and the scores in the treatment group declines more than in the control group(P>0.05),which indicates that the immediate analgesic effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.3.Cyclic clinical effectiveness:Before treatment, there's no statistical difference in headache scores between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and the headache scores of the two groups are comparable. After 4 courses of treatment, the headache scores in both groups decrease significantly(P<0.05),and the treatment group decreases more than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group is 93.33%,83.33%in the control group.By means of Ridit analysis, the difference between the two groups is significant statistically, which indicates that the clinical effectiveness of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.Conclusion:(1)Combined with conventional acupuncture, bloodletting by repeated shallow puncture with triangle-edged needle and Conventional acupuncture both can relieve pain instantly and show cyclic clinical effectiveness in treatment for migraine.(2)Compared with conventional acupuncture alone, bloodletting by repeated shallow puncture with triangle-edged needle combined with conventional acupuncture can relieve pain instantly better and show better cyclic clinical effectiveness.
