ObjectivesTo explore the impact of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the improvement of prospective memory impairment after stroke. To explore the best treatment for the disease, lay the foundation for clinical treatment.MethodsPatients in our hospital from July 2015 to September 2016 were selected.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the patients were randomly divided into 2 groups.Sham stimulation group, the first group, received sham stimulation and cognitive training,rTMS stimulation group, the second group, received repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and cognitive training. Both groups of patients were treated according guidelines for prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases and received the prescription of nutritional nerve, improvement of circulation and control of blood pressure, and other basic treatment,in addition, the pseudo stimulation group,rTMS stimulation group received specific treatment options. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)was used to evaluate the improvement of cognitive function. The Rivermead behavioral memory test(RBMT)to assess the function of daily life memory. The Cambridge Prospective Memory Test(CAMPROMPT)was used to assess the changes of prospective memory function before and after treatment. The Modified Barthel Index(MBI)was used to evaluate the recovery of daily living ability of patients.ResultsBefore treatment, the scores of MoCA,RBMT,CAMPROMPT and MBI were not significantly different between the 2 groups(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the total score of MoCA and the scores of all subprojects in the rTMS group were significantly higher than those before treatment, the scores of visual space, attention, and delayed memory were higher than those of the control group. And the total score of MoCA and the scores of four subprojects including visual space, attention, language, and orientation in the control group were significantly higher than those before treatment. For both groups, the RBMT score,CAMPROMPT score and MBI score increased after the treatment. Moreover, the scores of the rTMS group increased significantly than those of the control group(P < 0.05).ConclusionThe rTMS has a good effect on the treatment of prospective memory dysfunction after stroke, and can improve the patient's daily life ability, which is highly safe, worthy of clinical application.
