Objective:The purpose of this study is to verify the clinical curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with abdominal acupuncture in treating patients with PCOS infertility, to give full play to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, and to seek new ideas and methods for treating PCOS infertility.Method:In the study, the 60 subjects comes from the patients with PCOS infertility meeting the inclusion criteria in gynecological clinic in the Second Chinese Medicine Hospital of Guangdong Province from March in 2014 to June in 2015. According to the method of random numbers, the subjects were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The patients in experimental group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with abdominal acupuncture and the patients in control group were treated with clomiphene. All of the two groups were treated for three cycles and followed up for 3 cycles. In the study, the sex hormone levels, the improvement of menstrual cycle, the ovulation rate and the pregnancy rate were observed before and after the treatment, and we also evaluated the curative effect.Result:1. The curative effect comparison of the two groupsAfter the efficient analysis of two groups, the curative effect evaluation is as follows, the control group,9 cases were heal(30.00%),7 cases were excellent(40.00%),8 cases were effective(13.33%), the total effective rate was 80.00%. The experimental group,12 cases were heal (40.00%),10 cases were excellent(33.33%),6 cases were effective (20.00%), the total effective rate was 93.33%. According to the nonparametric test, compared with the curative effect of the control group, for the experimental group after treatment there, there was no significant difference (the Mann-Whitney U=353.00, P=0.135>0.05).2. The BMI comparison of the two groups after treatmentAfter treatment, the patients, BMI in control group were averaged (22.41 ±3.06)kg/m2, and the patients, BMI in experimental group were averaged (23.39 ±3.37) kg/m2. According to the independent samples t-test:compared with control group, the patients, the BMI has no significant difference in experimental group after treatment(t=1.177, P=0.244>0.05). According to the paired t test, compared with the BMI before treatment, there was significant difference the in control group after treatment (t=5.525, P=0.00<0.05), so as the experimental group (t=3.924, P=0.00<0.05).3. The sex hormone comparison of the two groups before and after treatmentThe average hormone levels of the control group after treatment are as follows:LH (4.782±1.883) mIU/ml、FSH (5.214±1.371) mIU/ml、LH/FSH (0.99 ±0.49)、T(0.332±0.721)ng/ml; The average hormone levels of the experimental group after treatment are as follows:LH (5.491±2.223) mIU/ml、FSH (5.697 ±1.144) mIU/ml、LH/FSH (1.01±0.52)、T (0.247±0.113) ng/ml. According to the paired t test, compared with the hormone levels before treatment, for the control group after treatment, the LH has significant difference (t=16.766, P=0.000<0.05), the FSH has significant difference (t=5.057, P=0.000<0.05), the LH/FSH has significant difference (t=7.239, P=0.000<0.05), the T has no significant difference (t=-0.31,P=0.976>0.05); for the experimental group after treatment, the LH has significant difference (t=13.236,P=0.000<0.05), the FSH has no significant difference (t=1.653, P=0.109>0.05), the LH/FSH has significant difference (t=6.543, P=0.000<0.05), the T has no significant difference( t=2.769, P=0.10>0.05). According to the independent samples t-test, compared with the hormone levels of the control group, for the experimental group after treatment, the LH has no significant difference (t=-1.332, P=0.188>0.05), the FSH has no significant difference (t=-1.484,P=0.143>0.05), the LH/FSH has no significant difference (t=-0.191, P=0.849>0.05), the T has significant difference (t=3.473, P=0.001<0.05).4. The menstrual cycle comparison of the two groups before and after treatmentThe menstrual cycle of the control group after treatment was 0.247±0.113 days on average, the menstrual cycle of the experimental group after treatment was 36.2±5.75 days on average. According to the paired t test, compared with the menstrual cycle before treatment, the control group after treatment has significant difference (t=3.916, P=0.001<0.05), so as to the experimental group after treatment (t=4.214, P=0.00<0.05).5. The ovulation rate comparison of the two groups during the treatment and observation periodIn the control group,149 menstrual cycles,103 times ovulations was observed, and the ovulation rate was 69.13%. In the experimental group,147 menstrual cycles,106 times ovulations was observed, and the ovulation rate was 72.11%. According to the Fisher x2 inspection, there was no significant difference between the ovulation rate of the two groups (P=0.573>0.05), which illustrates that there was no difference between the ovulation of the two groups after treatment.6. The pregnancy rate comparison of the two groups after treatmentIn the control group,9 cases was pregnancy (30.00%), In the experimental group,12 cases was pregnancy (40.00%). According to the Fisher x2 inspection, there was no significant difference between the pregnancy rate of the two groups (P=0.589>0.05), which illustrates that there was no difference between the pregnancy of the two groups after treatment within the scope of observation. Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine combined with abdominal acupuncture could improve the sex hormone levels, the menstrual cycle and could increase the ovulation rate and the pregnancy rate of patients with PCOS infertility. Besides, it could adjust nerve, endocrine and gonad function to the systemic integration. Finally, it could achieve the purpose of balancing Yin and Yang and coordinating the viscera. This treatment not only pays attention to a complete unity of the body, but also to the partial adjustment of gonads. It tends to make the body endocrine balance and has effective treatment in patients with PCOS infertility.
