Purpose:In this study,we investigated the effects of a new method of heat-sensitive moxibustion on the treatment of Tumor-related insomnia and the objective changes of tumor necrosis factor(TNF),and understood the relationship of improvement in sleep status and heart and spleen deficiency Symptoms.Method:70 cases of Guangzhou Chinese Medicine Hospital were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,35 cases of each group. The treatment group was treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with routine treatment of oncology and the control group received only routine treatment of oncology. The time of observation was 7 days. The PSQI score and the syndrome of TCM were recorded before and after treatment. The tumor necrosis factor was measured and the results were statistically analyzed.Result:1.The baseline data of 70 patients:The average age was 64.26 ± 10.02 years;33 cases(47.1%)were male,37(52.9%)were female; There were 17 cases(24.3%)of lung cancer,6 cases(8.6%)of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,6 cases(8.6%)of gynecological tumors,31 cases(44.3%)of digestive tumors,10 cases(14.3%)of other malignant tumors; There were 3 cases of phase ? in stage of disease,5 cases of stage ?,20 cases of stage ?,42 cases of stage ?,88.6%of patients with advanced stage in total. In the grade of Chinese medicine symptoms, mild in 1 case, moderate in 58 cases, severe in 11 cases, there were 98.6%of moderate to severe; In the severity of insomnia grading, mild in 9 cases, moderate in 31 cases, severe in 30 cases, moderate to severe patients accounted for 87.1%.In the group of patients with tumor disease staging mostly in the late. There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the above baseline data.2.Scores of PSQI and heart and spleen deficiency TCM syndromes:Respectively compared with the two groups before treatment, patients' PSQI score and TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group after receiving heat-sensitive moxibustion and control group after receiving routine treatment were both reduced(P<0.001).In the treatment group, the total score of PSQI was 7.71 ± 3.064 and the total score of TCM syndrome was 11.06 ±4.820,which was lower than that of the control group, the total score of PSQI was(11.56 ± 2.439)and the total score of TCM syndrome was 16.12 ± 4.721,the difference was significant(P<0.001).Suggesting that patients who received heat-sensitive moxibustion had better efficacy than those who had received routine hospitalization.3.the individual points of PSQI score and heart and spleen deficiency TCM syndrome score:the comparison of each individual points in the PSQI scale, patients after receiving heat moxibustion treatment in the treatment group and the control group of patients who received only routine treatment, points of "sleep quality","time of falling asleep","sleeping time","sleep efficiency score","sleep disorder","hypnotic drug" and "daytime dysfunction" were lower than those of two groups before treatment(P<0.001).Compared with the control group, points of "sleep quality","time of falling asleep","sleeping time","sleep efficiency","sleep disorder"and "daytime dysfunction"were lower in the treatment group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the point of "hypnotic drugs"(P>0.05).the comparison of each individual points in the heart and spleen deficiency type TCM syndrome score,Patients in treatment group treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion and patients in control group received anti-tumor hospital routine treatment, there were eleven individual points including "insomnia","palpitations" "tired","loss of appetite" "more dreams" "forgetfulness","abdominal distension","loose stools","looking","tongue" and "pulse" lower than that before treatment in two groups(P<0.05).In the comparison between the two groups, the patients after treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion, the improvement of five symptoms including "insomnia","tired","more dreams","looking",and "pulse" were more obvious than that of the control group(P<0.05).But,there were no significant differences in "palpitations","loss of appetite" "forgetfulness" "Abdominal distension","loose stools "and" tongue"(P>0.05).4.The efficacy of insomnia and traditional Chinese medicine analysis;in treatment group, the total effective rate of insomnia was 82.86%;the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine was 88.57%;in the control group, the total effective rate was 20.59%,the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine was 67.65%;Combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion, treatment of insomnia and symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medicine were better than the control group(P<0.01).5.Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference in the TNF value between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Compared with the TNF value before treatment,There was no significant difference in TNF after treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Heat-sensitive moxibustion treatment can effectively improve the quality of sleep, reduce the time of falling asleep, increase sleep time, improve sleep efficiency, reduce sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction, reduce the use of hypnotic drugs.2.Heat-sensitive moxibustion can relieve insomnia, dreams, forgetfulness, tired and other psychiatric symptoms, reduce palpitations, increase appetite, ease bloating, loose stools, improve the color, tongue and other symptoms such as heart and spleen deficiency.3.Heat-sensitive moxibustion can not significantly affect the level of tumor necrosis factor in Heart and spleen deficiency type tumor-related patients with insomnia.
