objective:To explore whether NC can be used as a new index to evaluate IR by comparing NC with traditional measurement parameters(WC,BMI).Methods:265 subjects were divided into two groups:T2DM group(n=165)and non T2DM(n=100)group,and then compare the the new measurement parameter NC and the traditional NC and WC,HC,WHR,BMI of the two groups. Then a total of 165 patients with T2DM were divided into male(n=80)and female group,BMI,WC,HC,WHR,NC and blood biochemical indicators were measured,T test was used to compare the differences of the parameters in different genders.Spearman linear correlation analysis was used to analyse NC with other prameters, and the correlation between NC,WC,BMI and HOMA-IR,FPI.Logistic regression analysis was used to confirm whether NC,BMI,WC,TG,HDL was the risk factors for T2DM.Results:WC,NC,HC,WHR,BMI were all significantly different between diabetic and non-diabetic patients. In addition to age,WHR,IR,HOMA-IR,the other parameters were statistically significant.NC was significantly correlated with BMI,WC,HOMA-IR and TG,and negatively correlated with HDL.WC and NC were associated with HOMA-IR,but BMI was not,and only NC was associated with FPI.After adjustment for age and gender,NC,WC,BMI,TG were all risk factors for T2DM,and HDL was a protective factor. Conclusion:NC is associated with IR,which is a risk factor for T2DM,and it has more advantages than traditional anthropometric parameters such as BMI,WC.NC can be used as a better indicator for evaluating T2DM,which is of great clinical significance.
