ObjectiveResearch has four aims,which are exploring whether complex network and text analysis techniques are suitable for academic school research of traditional Chinese medicine,exploring whether inheritable relationships can be represented by research collaborate relationships,exploring whether information dissemination path analysis can identify the key roles throughout a Chinese medicine theory's spreading,exploring whether semantic analysis model can identify the research directions or themes from the content of Chinese medicine papers.MethodsEstablishing a database through gathering research results--Published papers,which are under the guidance of Deng Tietao's theories,quantitative analyzing the bibliographical references afterwards to identify the core authors,analyzing the centrality of which by exploiting Python3.6 and relevant data analysis modules and UCInet6.1,visualizing which by Python3.6 and Netdraw2.1,finding out the different roles of Deng Tietao's academic inheritance system via the comparison of 3 kind of centrality analysis eventually.constructing the complex network utilizing the research collaborate relationship of Wu-Zang-Correlation theory,for which can discuss the association between researchers,distinguishing the network characters of the key vertexes and different inheritance roles in the process of theoretical communication subsequently and identifying the different directions in the development of the theory through community identification.Building a latent dirichlet allocation model to analyze the collected text content from the semantic point of view,discussing directions of development of Wu-Zang-Correlation by means of identifying different topicsResultsEstablished the literature database of Deng Tietao academic school,collected 1002 relevant published papers,located 79 core researchers,synthesized the individual productivity and the collaboration among core researchers group,three typical roles of Deng Tietao academic school was found,which are researchers with high academic influence,with independent teams and independent researchers.Constructed the literature database and the theoretical communication network of Wu-Zang-Correlation theory,recognized three types of inheritors,which are direct inheritors,indirect inheritors belong to Deng Tietao's academic school and indirect inheritor with conscious practices derived from admire,can be notably distinguished in edge-connectivity and centrality of the complex network,the community identifications of the largest component suggested 4 groups were evolved in the transmission of Wu-Zang-Correlation theory and the topics of which are corresponding to cardiovascular disease,digestive disease and neuromuscular disease.ConclusionBasically,experimental results are consistent with current state.From methodology point of view,the complex network analysis based on dissemination path can be used to explore the inheritance of the famous veteran teran doctors of TCM,such as Deng tietao's heritage system.The semantics models like topic analysis model can be used to meticulous topic classification of medical papers.The current state of Deng Tietao's academic school can be described as young and prosperous,which has been developed as least three groups with stable cooperation,and each of which has their specific research topic.Wu-Zang-Correlation theory has been widely spread,which has a certain impact but still has not won extensive approbation.
