ObjectiveThis study is carried out in the theory of the integration of the form and the spirit.To study the clinical efficacy of"tiaoshenfang" with acupuncture on gastrointestinal dysfunction after the internal fixation of lumbar vertebrae.Methods1.60 cases of gastrointestinal dysfunction after the internal fixation of lumbar vertebrae were randomly divided into control group(30cases)and treatment group(30cases).2.Patients from the two groups were treated with the same conventional treatment after surgery,while those from the treatment group received"iaoshenfang" with acupuncture(sishenchong,shenting,yintang,neiguan,sanyinjiao,guanyuan,tianshu,zho ngwan)in addition.All the patients come to receive treatment once a day,5 times as one course.The treatment ends up with 1 course.3.The first exhaust and defecation time after surgery and the condition of abdominal distension before and after 5 days of treatment based on abdominal distension grade was recorded.The overall efficacy of both treatments in the recovery of gastrointestinal function was evaluated.Results1.The first exhaust and defecation time in treatment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The differences of overall curative effect are statistically significant in and between two groups.(P<0.05).2.The total markedly effective rate in treatment group was 86.6%while those in control group was 65.5%.The differences of overall curative effect between each two groups are statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe result of treatment showed improvement in each group.The improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.
