Impact Of Establishing Kibungo Hospital In Rwanda From Project Perspectives

The research work entitled "the impact of establishing Kibungo hospital in Rwanda from project perspectives" was undertaken to see whether the foreign aid on the health contributes on human development of the population.In this sense,Kibungo hospital was chosen as the hospital built from aid granted by China government to Rwanda with the objective of improving the healthcare of Rwandan.This study has the ambition of achieving the following objectives:to determine the reasons of China providing health related aid in Rwanda and to assess the impact of stabling Kibungo hospital in Rwanda.This study also aims at verifying the following hypotheses:China Government helps Rwandan Government and the impact of establishing Kibungo hospital in Rwanda is fighting against diseases and enhancing human development(well being of people).To collect data from the field,the researcher has used various techniques such as questionnaire,interview schedule and sampling techniques.Thus,to analyze the data collected from the field,we used Excel program.This program helped in establishment of tables and use of frequencies as well as percentages.Questions were coded and data was entered into computer system.The researcher used both descriptive statistics to analyze the data.Descriptive statistical tools used are frequency and percentages.Data were presented using frequency tables’The researcher has addressed a questionnaire to 96 respondents from people living in Ngoma district including staff of Kibungo hospital and people using services offered by Kibungo hospital and the researcher has also interviewed the Manager of Kibungo hospital and Mayor of Ngoma district.The results of the study show that the establishment of Kibungo hospital has enhanced the improvement of health,education and creation of income generating activities where For the improvement of health,among 96 respondents,32%have reduced deficiency diseases,34%accessed on medical care,15%beneficiated health facilities whereas 19%talked about health services.For education,among 96 respondents,96%get trainings and sensitization on the health,100%i.e.all respondents evidenced the creation of nursing school and 76%got means of schooling their children.For creation of income generating activities,before collaborating with Kibungo hospital those who could create income generating activities were 46%of all respondents,but after collaborating with Kibungo hospital,this number has increased up to 98%.For the situation of saving,among 96 respondents on the ability to open an account,before collaborating with Kibungo hospital,21%made savings in the bank whereas 79%of all respondents did not.But the situation has changed after collaborating with Kibungo hospital because the number of those who make saving has increased up to 70%of all 70%of all respondents whereas the number of those who do not make saving has decreased up to 30%.In Rwanda none of previous researchers has attempted to conducts a research to assess the impact of establishing Kibungo hospital.Hence the researcher was eager to bring a new impute on local stock of knowledge of this era.Based on data collected during this study,the researcher gave some recommendations to people living in Ngoma district and the government.Finally,when these recommendations were implemented by concerned part,the human development of the population will be both improved and achieved as planned.
