| ObjectiveAcupuncture point according to patient’ s constitution were selected and constitution adjusting acupuncture was applied in treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.To objectively evaluating the feasibility and safety of constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease,treatment efficiency,serum inflammatory cytokines levels,symptom integral score,moist-heat constitution and blood stasis constitution integral score and pelvic ultrasound change before and after treatment,3 months recurrence rate and adverse reaction and complications rates were observed,so as to provide clinical basis for the improvement of acupuncture curative efficacy of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and enrich the clinical data of the traditional Chinese medicine theory in constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.Methods60 cases of patients with chronic pelvic inflammation in traditional Chinese medicine and rehabilitation department and gynaecology department in the Huicheng district Shuikou people’s hospital from January 2014 to January 2016 were prospectively selected and randomly divided into treatment group(n=30)and control group(n=30).Routine acupuncture treatment was given to Control group,,while the treatment group had constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution on the basis of the control group,both of the two groups had one time of treatment every day,and 5days treatment with interval of two consecutive days,10 times a course,,and the patients had a total of three course of treatment.Patients had treatment stopped in menstruation and was continuously treated 3d after menstruation period.We had compared the treatment efficiency,serum inflammatory cytokines levels,moist-heat constitution,symptom integral score,blood stasis constitution integral score,pelvic ultrasound change before and after treated in course 1,course 2 and course 3,the patients’ 3 months recurrence rate of the two groups.Results(1)Treatment efficiency rate of the treatment group was 93.33%(28/30),which was higher than the 70%(21/30)of the control group;cure effective rate of the treatment group was 56.67%(17/30),which was higher than the 40%(12/30)o.f the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)There was no statistical significant difference of the two groups in Serum c-reactive protein(CRP)levels and lower abdomen pain integral score of before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the lower abdomen pain integral score of the two groups also had no statistical significant difference(P>0.05).Serum CRP levels of the treatment group after treated with 1 course,2course and 3course were lower than before treatment,and serum CRP levels of the control group after treated in course 2 and course 3 were also reduced,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Serum CRP levels of the treatment group in the whole course were lower compared with control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The levels of patients classification had no statistical significant difference before treatment(P>0.05).Patients rate with mild symptoms integral score of the two groups in 2course and 3course were higher than treatment,and the patients rate with severe symptoms integral score of the two groups in 2course and 3course were lower,and the difference was significant in statistics(P<0.05).Patients rate with mild symptoms integral score of the treatment group in 2course and 3course were higher than the control group,and the patients rate with severe symptoms integral score f the treatment group in the same time were lower,and the difference was significant in statistics(P<0.05).(4)The difference of moist-heat constitution and blood stasis constitution integral score of the two groups before treatment was not so significant in statistics(P>0.05).Moist-heat constitution and blood stasis constitution integral score of the two groups in 2course and 3course were reduced,compared to the data before treatment,and the difference was significant statistics(P<0.05).Moist-heat constitution and blood stasis constitution integral score of the treatment group in 2course and 3course were reduced than the control group,and the difference was significant in statistics(P<0.05).(5)The pelvic inflammatory mass disappearance rate,fallopian tube effusion disappearance rate and pelvic cavity accumulates fluid disappearance rate of the treatment group were higher than the control group through pelvic ultrasound examination and the difference was significant in statistics(P<0.05).(6)Recurrence rate of 3 months after stopped treatment in the treatment group was 6.67%(2/30),which was lower than the 26.67%(8/30)of the control,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion(1)Constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease helps to alleviate patients’ lower quadrant abdominal pain,faster controlling of inflammation,improve physical fitness,and reduce the illness severity..(2)Constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease had good curative effect and can effectively improve the patient’s clinical symptoms and signs and promote disease rehabilitation.(3)Constitution adjusting acupuncture with acupuncture point selected according to patient’s constitution treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease recurrence rate of 3 months after stopped treatment is low,and its long-term effect and security is also good,therefore,it is safe and effective therapy method for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. |
