Objective:Using the lotion of Kochiae Scopariae to treat tinea pedis. Observe and analyse the data obtained in the experiments. To sum up the treatments within Chinese medical literature for tinea pedis.Whilst exploring the additional uses of Kochiae Scopariae and characteristics of external therapy of traditional Chinese medicines.According to the evidence-based dermatology, the experiment's results prove the lotion of KS is effective and security. The solution can be inhibited fungus growth and relieved the pruritus.Methods:(a).Randomly devided the patients into two groups, including an experimental group and a control group,(b) Clinical observation section72patients. The experimental group contains36cases, and the treatment is based on the lotion of KS.The control group contains36cases, and the treatment is based on the dilute Solution of potassium permanganate, which concentration is1:5000.(c)Let the patients, who have meet the repuirements of the experiments, signed informed consent. The treatment lasts for two week. All patients should be recorded and make a clinical report every week, After the two-week course of treatment, analyze the records given in the experiments.(d) Observing indicatrix: Direct microscopic examination before and after the treatment. Describe the skin lesion to4level,which depents on the degree of pruritus, macule, maceration, erosion, scale, fissure, papule, vesicle, and marked by doctor.Record the form including the CBC, URT, erythra and the adverse reaction as the safety indicators. The evaluation to the curative efficacy refers to the standards defined in Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Guideline, as recovered effective progressive and invalid. And record the microscopic examination results before and after treatment. Using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) scale to evaluate the quality of life. Results:(a) We kept a record of lesions of the patients with PASI scores, there is no significant change (P<0.05). Prove that, the improvements on all types of skin lesions of the patients are obvious.(b) After the treatment, compare the both group's clinical efficacy have non-significant difference (P>0.05)..And between the experimental group and the control group. compare the mycetology cure rate of both group are non-significant difference(P>0.05).(c) After the treatment, compare the scores of DLQI, there is significant diffeence(P<0.05) in one group but non-significant difference(P>0.05) between the two group.(d) The difference of the safety was not remarkable. Conclusion:The lotion of KS is effective and security in treating tinea pedis. The method of external therapy meet the pharmacodynamic requirements and the pharmacokinetics requirements. External therapy of TCM is good at protect the integrity of the skin membrane and more safty than any other Formulations.
