Objective:In order to improve the survival quality and survival rate of patients with diabetic nephropathy, this study observed the distribution of TCM syndrome type and performance of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques, preliminarily explore the relationship between the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques and TCM syndrome types, and further study the correlation between different syndrome type and laboratory results. The purpose is to provide theoretical basis for traditional Chinese medicine of diabetic nephropathy.Method:This study used a cross-sectional survey to observe the TCM syndrome types and the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques of 120 patients with Diabetic nephropathy ?-? period. These patients were divided into different TCM syndrome types. They were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software in order to explore the correlation between the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques and TCM syndrome types of diabetic nephropathy.Result:1.The main characteristics of pathogenesis in patients with Diabetic nephropathy ?-? period were the syndromes of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality and intermingled deficiency and excess.Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome was in the most percentage of DN III period, spleen-kidney qi deficiency was in the most percentage of DN IV period. Blood stasis syndrome was in the most percentage of superficiality excess syndrome, followed by phlegm-stasis syndrome.2.This study showed no statistical significant between the constituent ratio of the deficiency syndrome in the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques. It was statistical significant about the difference of the standard empirical syndrome in TCM.Unstable plaque had statistical differences especially Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, and phlegm-stasis syndrome.3.There was statistical difference between hypertension in the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques.4.There was statistical significant between blood urea nitrogen in the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques. There were statistical significants between glycosylated hemoglobin,24h proteinuria, blood creatinine, blood urea nitrogen in the origin deficiency syndrome.Conclusion:1.The main characteristics of pathogenesis in patients with Diabetic nephropathy ?-? period were the syndromes of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality and intermingled deficiency and excess.2.The stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques of DN was related with hypertension and the empirical syndrome. Unstable plaque had the most percentage of phlegm-stasis syndrome.3.Blood urea nitrogen was closely related with the stability of the neck vascular atherosclerosis plaques. Glycosylated hemoglobin,24h proteinuria, blood creatinine, blood urea nitrogen were closely related with the origin deficiency syndrome.
