Purpose:Through the study on Shenque Bazhen acupuncture and conventional acupuncture treating the Qi deficiency type of functional constipation to compare the clinical efficacy, the safety and the compliance of the two therapies.Methods:The research adopted randomized, controlled and singlely blind method to divide 72 Qi deficiency type of functional constipation cases into the Shenque Bazhen acupuncture group and the conventional acupuncture group. The Shenque Bazhen acupuncture group was a treated group, while the conventional acupuncture group was a controlled group. Each group had 36 cases. Each groups would receive continuous treatment for 3 courses, each course was 5 days. And the interval time of each treatment course was 2 days. There would be a follow-up visit at the end of the fourth week after the treatment. According to the observation of the difference among before treat and after treat and the follow-up visit of the number of bowel movements per week, the symptoms score of patient assessment of constipation(PAC-SYM), the quality life score of patient assessment of constipation(PAC-QOL) and Qi deficiency symptoms rating scale to determine the curative effect.Result:1.The two groups had no statistically significant differences in gender, age, the disease course and degree (p>0.05), which had similar comparability.2.The two groups were compared with their own before and after treatment:the number of bowel movements per week, PAC-SYM score, PAC-QOL score and Qi deficiency symptoms score were significantly different (p<0.01).3.Compared two groups after 3 courses' treatment:The number of bowel movements per week had no statistical significance (p>0.05), while the PAC-SYM score, PAC-QOL score and Qi deficiency symptoms score had statistical significance (p<0.05).4.Compared the two groups at the follow-up visit:The number of bowel movements per week had no statistical significance (p>0.05), while the PAC-SYM score, PAC-QOL score and Qi deficiency symptoms score had statistical significance (p<0.05).5.The total efficiency:Shenque Bazhen acupuncture group was 85.71%, conventional acupuncture group was 75.76%. There was no statistical significance between the two group (p>0.05).6.The two groups had no statistically significant differences in the safety and the compliance (p>0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the Shenque Bazhen acupuncture and conventional acupuncture on the Qi deficiency type of functional constipation have good curative effect.2.0n the short-term and long-term curative effect, the Shenque Bazhen acupuncture is better than conventional acupuncture in improving the clinical symptoms and the quality life;the two groups have the same effect in increasing the number of bowel movements per week.3.Both the Shenque Bazhen acupuncture and conventional acupuncture have safely curative effect and good compliance on patients.4.Shenque Bazhen acupuncture is easyer and simpler to choose acuponts and operate,what's more has lower pain feeling than conventional acupuncture,therefore Shenque Bazhen acupuncture is worth spreading in clinlic.
