BackgroundInfection control is an important content to measure the quality of health care,and it is directly affected by the quality of disinfection work in hospital.In the disinfection filed, microorganisms to evaluate the killing effect of pathogenic microorganisms are often used.And bacillus stearothermophilus is a common and important one.It is widely used in scientific research,medical health and other fields.In our industry standard,the 7 days of spore culture is the gold standard for the final result.Now in China and abroad,there have been a self-contained incubated growth media,and it is widely used in the monitoring of pressure steam sterilization.ObjectiveThe study which compare the effectiveness of four different thermophilic bacillus stearothermophilus from different mnanufacturers to evaluate the steam sterilization process,will discuss its application in the management of equipment.MethodEvery day do the Bowie-Dick test in the air pressure steamin sterilizer,can prove the sterilizer.The standard test contains four types of reagents and it is place above the exhaust sterilizer,then set sterilization parameters,sterilize,and remove it after complete a sterilization cycle.(1)Thermophilic bacillus stearothermophilus strip: Inoculate spore test strips with sterile conditions in lab,place in the incubator growth minedia 56 degrees Celsius,and observe the final test results after 7 days.(2)48h self-contained biological indicators: The indicators are incubated in incubator and observed in 48 hours.The test results determination: If the media color turns yellow,it means microbial growth and sterilization failure;if the mediacolor remain purple,it means microbial death and sterilization success(3)3h self-contained biological indicators : The specific autoreader is utilized to incubate and read the results in Central Sterile Supply Department.The autoreader automatically shows "+" or "-" results in 3hours.3h self-contained biological indicators are used to test different verification systems.(4)1h self-contained biological indicators: The specific autoreader is utilized to incubate and read the results in Central Sterile Supply Department.The autoreader automatically shows "+" or "-" results in 1 hour.The 1h self-contained biological indicators are used to challenge the sterilization cycles.Result1.Thermophilic bacillus stearothermophilus strip in the process of bacterial culture.By the inoculation environment,operation personnel,reagent for factors,such as training results.2.The result of the self-contained biological indicator is high siminilarity,Dominestic rapid biological indicator is influenced by other factors appear difference.3.The incubation time of 1 hour self–contained biological indicators is the shortest timine and also it has high accuracy.4.With the increase of vacuum and the sterilization times,the killing rate of spores is statistically significant.Conclusion1.The sterilization result of spore is affected by minany factors,such as temperature, time,pressure and so on.Thermophilic bacillus stearothermophilus strip in the process of bacterial culture,by other factors affect the results of differences in culture.However,the self–contained biological indicators is convenient to use,and it has high accuracy.2.The 1h biological indicators can achieve the most accurate and fast development of the results,speed up the turnover of equipminent,reduce the costs of hospital,ensure the safety of minedical quality,and suitable for clinical application.
