Objective: Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is one of the most common diseases in chronic lymphocyte thyroiditis. The pathogenesis is concealed and the incipient symptom has no specific characters. The development of this disease for most patients are very slow and most patients would see the doctor for asymptomatic thyroid nodules or masses.A few of patients may feel breathing disorders, fatigue, neck pain and discomfort in neck.Diffuse enlargement of the thyroid gland, mass lobulated or multiple sizes of nodules, rough surface, hard texture would be discovered during physical examination. The diagnosis in serology is mainly based on thyroid function inedx, which can be variable in different stages. In early stage, the function of thyroid can be normal, but the uptake rate of I-131 may slightly increase and the value of FT3 and FT4 may stay in the normal range. With the increase of level of RAIU(Radioactive iodine uptake)and PBI(protein bound iodine),the function of thyroid would be damaged, and the level of TSH in serum would increase, too. Thus, the patients with hyperthyroidism would have increasing FT3 and FT4 in serum, and then become hypothyroidism in late stage, with lower I-131 uptake rate and basal metabolic rate.It may because the thyroid tissue is gradually replaced by lymphocyte and fibrous tissue. The complicated pathologic process of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis makes it difficult to diagnose with a high rate of misdiagnosis. What’s more, there is no effective treatment so far.So we plan to make meta-analysis of treatment for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with Zhenqifuzheng capsule and Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets by reviewing and summarizing the effect results of this brand new treatment,in order to provide more powerful evidence to explore the brand new treatment for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.Method: 60 patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis were divided into twogroups randomly, the experiment group was treated by Zhenqifuzheng capsule with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets and the control group was treated by Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets alone. Then we observed the effect of two treatments via measuring the level of different thyroid hormones(TSH,FT3,FT4)and related antibodies(TGAb,TPOAb)and observing the improvement of clinical symptom. We searched all the finished researches which were about Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and made futher summary, what’s more,we made meta-analysis with the results of similar studies to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment combining Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine using the software STATA(Version 13.0).Result: There is statistical differences of free triiodothyronine and free thyroxine(P<0.05).The same situation also comes when involving with thyroid peroxidase antibody and antithyroglobulin antibody(P<0.05).A total of 11 studies were included. When it comes to the effect between the experiment group and control group, the OR=1.39,95%CI(1.28~1.51),Z=7.90,P<0.05,there was statistical differences. The changes of TGAb between two groups showed the SMD=-1.25,95%CI(-1.42~-1.08),Z=14.10,P<0.05,there was statistical differences. And the changes of TPOAb was SMD=-1.72,95%CI(-1.90~-1.54),Z=17.52,P<0.05,statistical differences existed, too. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that the effect of treatment for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is more effective and more stable to take Zhenqifuzheng capsule with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets than take Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets alone and is more effective to improve the quality of patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. The meta-analysis also demonstrates that the effect of treatment for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is more effective to take Zhenqifuzheng capsule with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets than take Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets alone.
