ObjectiveBy applying simple randomized-contrast study ways,to explore the theory and application of acupuncture in the treatment of stroke via using theory of "rise and descend properties of Qi mechanism in regulating Spleen-stomach"on the basis of routine acupuncture and to provide new ideas for the recovery of stroke.MethodIn this study,we collected 60 patients with stroke from May 2016 to January 2017 in the Department of Rehabilitation,Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM and these patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(30 cases each). The treatment plan of control group used the theory of "take Yangming-Meridian merely" and "take three positive meridians when wind attacks" as a guide, the use of conventional acupoints acupuncture. The treatment group applied the theory of "rise and descend properties of Qi mechanism in regulating Spleen-stomach" in choosing acupoints,on the basis of acupoints in the control group. When acupuncture at left ST36,adjust the direction of needle tip up slightly after the needling reaction.Apply reinforcing method until reaction of Qi appears upside the body; When acupuncture at right GB34,on the contrary, adjust the direction of needle tip down slightly after the needling reaction.Conduct reducing method until reaction of Qi appears downwards the body;Uniform reinforcing-reducing manipulation was performed at other acu-points in the group. All patients were treated once a day,6 times for a course of treatment and rested one day.The TCM syndrome assessment, simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA),improved Barthel index(MBI)were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of patients and changes of body movement function and ability of activities of daily living before and after 4 courses of treatment. All data were expressed as(x±s)or(%).Results1.The evaluation on two groups before the treatment had not shown significant difference(P>0.05),in the general comparison of patients in gender, age and course, combined with the scores via three scales(TCM syndrome score,FMA and MBI).It meant the baseline data of two groups of patients before treatment were not significantly different,comparable.2.The evaluation on two groups between the scores of three scales, compared with that before the treatment, had not shown significant difference(P>0.05),which could be considered that both treatments were effective.3.On clinical effect, the effective rate on the whole was 90%in the treatment group and 80%in the other group. The difference between two groups had not shown statistically significant(P>0.05).In the comparision of changes in scores of the two scales,FMA and MBI,before and after the treatment, the difference had appeared to be statistically significant(P<0.01).ConclusionThe results suggest that:the method of using the theory of "rise and descend properties of Qi mechanism in regulating Spleen-stomach" has obvious advantages, compared with the control group,in improving, motor function and ability of activities of daily living of patients with stroke. While on the clinical effect, there is no significant difference shown between two groups in this study.
