Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of the superior meatus complex area(SMCA)lesions and improve their symptoms signs of the understanding and the first diagnostic accuracy(FESS)on SMCA lesions. Methods:The patients treated in the Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital from November 2014 to January 2016.Fifty patients treated in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery with Functional endoscopic Sinus Surgery(FESS)as observation group(N1=50).Fifty patients enrolled in the Hospital as normal group(N2=50)(no chronic disease,no physical examination of various nasal diseases.)In the observation group,Chinese version of the SNOT-22 scale score, olfactory VAS score as well as Lund-Kennedy endoscopy and saccharin Test time,Lund-Mackay CT score were collected before and after treatment 1,3,6 months. At the same time,in normal group the Chinese version of the SNOT-22 scale score and olfactory VAS score were collected.Data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Referring to chronic nose-sinusitis diagnosis and treatment guidelines(2014.Kuurning.)[5].the efficacy of postoperative follow-up to the first six months subject, and analyzes the observation group preoperative and postoperative imaging diagnosis of pathology. Results:There are no significant differences in Lund-Kennedy endoscopy scores between the two groups before and after the treatment for 6 months(p>0.05).Difference between Lund-Mackay CT score and saccharin test time were statistically significant differences between the two groups before and After the treatment for 6 months(p<0.05).Physiological assessment scores, functional control scores, emotional impact scores, and overall scoring in the SNOT-22 scale were significantly difference between the two groups(p<0.05).There are 11 cases of misdiagnosis in the 50 patients and misdiagnosis rate is 22%.Conclusion:Superior meatus complex area lesions are mainly benign lesions and clinical misdiagnosis rate is higher.FESS can significantly improve the clinical effect in the treatment of SMCA lesions.Preoperative imaging data, detailed endoscopy and postoperative pathology can significantly improve the diagnosis of SMCA disease.
