Analysis Of The Application Effect Of Clinical Pathway In Planned Cesarean Section Of County-level Hospital

Objective: To explore the effectiveness of clinical pathway(CP)in the patients underwent planned caesarean section and estimate the effect CP mode in reducing the hospitalized days and the hospitalization costs and the satisfaction of patients.Methods: 2929 patients undergoing planned caesarean section in XX People's hospital between January 2012 to December 2014 were selected in this research.904 patients who underwent planned caesarean section belonged to pathway group and the other2025 patients belonged to control group.The indicators including average length of hospital stay,total hospitalization expenses,drug cost,check expense,check expense ratio,treatment recovery rate,postoperative complication rate and patient satisfaction rate were compared between two groups.Results: The average length of hospital stay were(5.35±0.77)days in pathway group,and were significantly shorter than(5.79±1.37)days that in control group(P<0.05).The total hospitalization expenses,check expense and drug cost ratio in pathway group were significantly less than that in control group(P<0.05).The patient satisfaction rate 97.2%in pathway group were significantly less than 86.9% that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The implementation of CP in patients undergoing planned caesarean section can effectively shorten the length of hospital stay,reduce the medical expenses and improve the patient satisfaction.The CP can bring the more social and economic benefits for the hospital,recommended clinical popularization and application.
