The Correlation Between The Cognitive Level Of The Elderly In Orthostatic Hypotension And Quality Of Life

Objective This study aims to survey for the elderly in Changchun City of orthostatic hypotension cognition and quality of life status, and to analyze the elderly to orthostatic hypotension of cognition and quality of life (QOL)correlation, for the community medical staff for orthostatic hypotension prevention knowledge provides the theory basis for health education and guidance,at the same time for orthostatic hypotension can be referenced for further research.Methods Used cluster random sampling method, through the issuance of questionnaires in Changchun City 435 of the elderly in community general information (gender, age, marital status, income, etc.), cognitive level and quality of life of orthostatic hypotension.Data entry used Excel 2013 software and applied SPSS19.0 statistical software for data descriptive analysis, t test, single factor analysis of variance, correlation and regression analysis etc.Results For the elderly in Changchun City community of orthostatic hypotension knowledge score rate is the highest (23.43±4.296), cognitive behavioral scoring rate is the lowest (9.47±3.879); Different age,educational level,marital status and the frequency of physical examination, whether know blood pressure and is suffering from chronic diseases of the elderly to orthostatic hypotension cognitive differences is statistically significant (P<0.05). Changchun City of the elderly in the community of overall quality of life in the middle status;Different age, educational level, marital status, monthly income and the frequency of physical examination whether know the blood pressure and is suffering from chronic diseases of the elderly quality of life differences is statistically significant(P<0.05). There is a positive correlation between the perception of postural hypotension and the quality of life among the elderly in the community of Changchun,but the degree of correlation is small (r=0.247, R2=0.061,P<0.01).Conclusion The elderly people in the community of Changchun have a certain knowledge and active participation in the prevention of orthostatic hypotension,but it is insufficient to take preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of orthostatic hypotension community medical staff corresponding intervention measures should be taken to further improve the cognitive level of orthostatic hypotension in the elderly;Changchun City Community Elderly of orthostatic hypotension cognitive level and quality of life is affected by the basic situation of the elderly,so the community medical staff in health education and guidance for the elderly should be considered the factors affecting the elderly to orthostatic hypotension cognition and quality of life, to adopt for intervention measures; Improve the cognitive level of orthostatic hypotension in the elderly,to a certain extent, can improve the quality of life of the elderly.
