Objective:To Preliminary explore the correlation of the efficacy of Exenatide or Saxagliptin and plasma GLP-1、GC with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods:Separate 57 diabetes patients into two groups:obesity(n=27) given exenatide intervention; non-obesity(n=30) oral saxagliptin with 12 weeks. Compare and analyze the fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose (2hPG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc), the levels of oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and glucose stimulated insulin release test (GSIRT), weight and body mass index (BMI), the constitutional types of Chinese medicine. also the routine of blood, urine and stool, the hepatic and renal function and the electrocardiogram, at the same time, the adverse reactions and their incidence and severity were observed. And using correlation analysis to explore the correlation of efficacy of two drugs after the intervention with GLP-1、GC.Results:1.Compared with before treatment, the FPG,2hPG and HbAlc decreased significantly of both groups (p<0.01). The weight and BMI of patients of exenatide group decreased significantly (p<0.01).2. There is no significant difference between after and before treatment in GLP-1 and the area under the curve of GLP-1. The GC decreased of patients of exenatide group (p<0.05). The area under the curve of GC decreased significantly of both groups (p<0.01).3. FPG difference between before and after treatment was negatively correlated with fasting GC before treatment. FPG difference and HbA1c difference was both positively correlated with the difference of AUCgc.4. The most constitution of type 2 diabetes patients with obese was phlegm-damp constitution, non-obese type 2 diabetes the most common places qi-deficiency type.5. The weight and BMI difference between before and after treatment was negatively correlated with the scores of phlegm-damp constitution before treatment.6. The area under the curve of GC were negatively correlated to gentleness type, the GLP-1 were negatively correlated to qi-deficiency type. The fasting GLP-1 were correlated with yang-deficiency type. The area under the curve of GC were correlated to yin-deficiency type.Conclusion:1. The effect of Exenatide and saxagliptin were significant in patients with type 2 diabetes, but poor in some patients, the FPG difference and HbAlc efficacy was correlated with plasma GC level before treatment. The weight loss efficacy was correlated with the scores of phlegm-damp constitution before treatment. 2. The most constitution of type 2 diabetes patients with obese was phlegm-damp constitution, non-obese type 2 diabetes the most common places qi-deficiency type. Within a certain range, there were correlated among TCM constitution and plasma GC, GLP-1, glucose and body weight.
