Objective:To analysis the distribution and the correlation of hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome components. Methods: A total of 7166 people received physical examination who met the enrollment and exclusion criteria in the health examination center of the first affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university, completed the clinical data and biochemical indices:the height, the weight, body mass index, blood lipid, blood glucose, blood pressure, uric acid, and carried out statistical analysis,to observe the correlation of hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome components. Results:The overall prevalence of HUA was 11.02 percent;including 17.4 percent of men prevalence and 3.9 percent of women prevalence, the two comparative differences are significant(P<0.05);Among Hans,Uyghurs,Kazaks and Huis, the prevalence of hyperuricemia respectively were 11.1percent,11.23 percent,9.6percent and the 9.5percent.Logistic regression indicated that overweight/obesity,hypertension,higher levels of TG and lower level of HDL-C were the correlated factors of hyperuricemia(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Male's prevalence of HUA is higher than female's.(2)Hyperuricemia is closely related to metabolic syndrome components.
