The Influencing Factors And Relationship Between The Compassion Fatigue And Stress Status Of Nurses In The Urban-rural Zone Secondary Hospital

Objectives:1. To investigate the nurse's compassion fatigue status of the secondary hospital in the urban and rural zone around Nanjing2. Compare the influence factors of the nurse compassion fatigue of the urban-rural zone secondary hospital in different background.3. Investigation the nurse's stress levels of the urban-rural zone secondary hospital.4. Compare the influence factors of the nurse stress of the urban-rural zone secondary hospital in different background.5. Discuss the correlation between nurses compassion fatigue and their pressure of the urban and rural integration secondary hospital.6. Generate individualized instruction strategy to relieve the nurses'pressure caused by compassion fatigue level.Methods:Using the convenience sampling method, we adopt Xiao-qin Li's questionnaire of paramedics compassion fatigue scale and Xiao-mei Li's Chinese nurse stressor scale to take a questionnaire survey over 378 nurses of the five secondary hospital of the urban-rural fringe around Nanjing. Results:1. The total score of the urban-rural fringe secondary hospital nurse compassion fatigue rating scale was 16.00±1.84. Stress was 2.57±0.50 points, loss of enthusiasm was 2.80± 0.40 points, negative behavior was 2.66±0.42 points, emotional indifference was 2.73±0.56 points, ability to doubt was 2.67±0.44 points, loss of morale was 2.59±0.48points. In the six dimensions, the negative behaviors is of the highest score, while the mental tension scored lowest.2.The score difference of the nurse compassion caused by the differences of age, marriage, age, job title, qualifications, duties labor relation, department, and family support degree is statistically significant (P< 0.05). Age of 35 years old, divorced or score is significantly higher than the other nurses (P< 0.05).The score of the nurse whose age is beyond 35 or divorced is significantly higher than it of the other nurses'.3. The different income level, degree of sleep score difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05).The score difference caused by different income level or degree of sleep has no statistical significance.4. The score of the nurse's pressure of the urban-rural fringe secondary hospital is 85.74± 20.42 points. Nursing profession and work was 17.29 ±4.76 points, work and time distribution of 12.65±3.91 points,6.17±2.23 working environment resources, patient care was 29.34±7.37 points, management and interpersonal relationship was 19.86±6.51 points. In the 5 dimensions, patient care scores highest, while working environment resource lowest.5. The score difference of the nurse's stress levels caused by the difference of age, title, education, labor relations, the department was statistically significant (P< 0.05).6. The score difference of the nurse's stress levels caused by the difference of monthly income, satisfaction of their income, enough sleep time, family support degree was statistically significant (P<0.05)7. Different age, job position of urban-rural fringe secondary hospital nurses'stress levels score difference has no statistical significance (P> 0.05)8. Urban-rural fringe secondary hospital nurses compassion fatigue was positively related to their pressure (r=0.218, p< 0.01).Loss of enthusiasm, spirit strain, ability to doubt and loss of morale have significant effects on medical staffs working pressure(p<0.05)Conclusions:1. Urban and rural integration of secondary hospital nurse compassion fatigue is in the medium level. Among all of the factors, negative behaviors gets the highest score, while the mental tension scores the lowest.2. Different age, marriage, age, job title, qualifications, labor relationship, department, degree of family support, and other factors are the influence factors of urban-rural fringe secondary hospital nurse compassion fatigue.3. The pressure the nurses of urban-rural fringe secondary hospital is in the medium level.As we can see, patient caring gets the highest score in the 5 dimensions, while the environment resource the lowest. It's of greatest importance for us to pay active attention to the stress sources of nursing work, and so we can appropriately avoid the bad results of their stress.4.Things, like different age, title, education, labor relations, working departments, monthly income, sleeping time, family supporting degree, are the important factors of the stress level of the nurse of secondary hospital around urban-rural zone,5. Compassion fatigue and urban-rural fringe secondary hospital nurse was positively related to the pressure, so nursing managers should be in view of the loss of enthusiasm, spirit strain, ability to doubt and loss of morale, and then establish a reasonable system to relieve nurses' occupational stress.
