Objective: To analyze the comorbidity Ningxia urban and rural residents over the age of 18 between anxiety disorders and the impact on social function, to understand the main factors in our region population comorbid anxiety; understand Ningxia anxiety comorbid existing mental health features of service utilization and help-seeking behavior, and to explore the use of patient mental health services and help-seeking behavior of various factors; through this research, clinical diagnosis and treatment of disease and for the prevention of anxiety disorders provide the basis for the development of relevant and mental health programs, provide a theoretical basis and reliable information in order to better carry out mental health.Methods: The epidemiology of mental disorders in Ningxia area survey database, using international classification of diseases, Tenth Edition(ICD-10) diagnostic criteria. In order to meet the ever anxiety disorder, disorder diagnostic criteria of mood disorders and substance use as the research object, understand the anxiety disorders and mood disorders, comorbidity anxiety disorders and substance use disorders and the impact on society function of patients; measurement of social function by WHO disability rating scale 2 edition(Disability Assessment Schedule 2, WHO-DAS ?). To investigate the anxiety disorder in patients with mental health services utilization situation. Single factor analysis was performed using ?2 test, the influential factors were analyzed by non conditional Logistic regression model.Results:(1) Anxiety disorder comorbidity with mood disorders was 6.6%, including severe depression and anxiety disorder comorbidity highest rate(4.7%), followed by hypomania(3.1%); anxiety disorders and substance use disorder comorbidity rate 3.4%, the highest rate of comorbidity of alcohol abuse(3.3%). Co-morbidity between anxiety disorders and panic attacks is the highest specific phobia(8.3%), panic attacks comorbid social phobia(3.0%), comorbid social phobia specific phobia(2.7%), comorbid panic attack agoraphobia(2.1%).(2) Mood disorder and anxiety disorder comorbidity rates in different sex, nationality, residence, education and other populations were not statistically different; anxiety disorders and substance use disorder comorbidity rates in men than women(3.4% vs 0.2%.) Han was higher than Hui(2.7% vs. 0.9%), in rural areas than in urban areas(2.1% vs. 1.5%), comorbidity junior high school the highest(1.7%) in the level of education among the population. Logistic regression analysis found that women(OR = 0.02, 95% CI: 0.01- 0.09), urban(OR = 0.34, 95% CI: 0.15-0.77) anxiety disorders comorbid substance use disorders is low risk, Han(OR = 2.76, 95% CI: 1.17-6.51), somatic pain(OR = 3.07, 95% CI: 1.19-7.88) higher risk of anxiety disorders comorbid substance use disorders.(3) Patients with anxiety disorders comorbid other mental disorders to seek help(17.7% vs. 5.6%), effective help(10.4% vs. 2.2%) and the proportion of hospitalizations(3.1% vs. 0.2%) was significantly higher than those of anxiety disorders patients; anxiety disorders comorbid in understanding and communication skills in patients with very serious 14 people(14.6%), some serious, 13 people(13.5%); the performance of life activities very serious 27 people( 28.1%), there are some serious 22(22.9%); performance in social participation as very serious, 29 people(30.2%), there are some serious 16(16.7%). Comorbid anxiety in understanding and communication skills, life events and social participation were statistically significant(P <0.05).(4) Patients with anxiety disorders comorbid other mental disorders and more than 30 minutes for assistance counseling(42.86% vs. 25.93%), the use of prescription drugs(14.29% vs. 7.41%) higher than the proportion of patients with anxiety disorders, seeking Internet(28.57 % vs. 44.44%), self-help groups(0.00% vs. 7.41%) and hot(14.29% vs. 14.81%) of comorbid anxiety proportion lower than in patients with anxiety disorders. The help of professionals focused on general practitioners or family doctors(40%), psychiatrists(20%) and psychology professionals(20%); do not seek help because of concerns about medical insurance, personal understanding of the symptoms economic cost, stigma, access to health resources, health services and so on the level of satisfaction.Conclusion:(1) Patients with mental disorders in Ningxia Province about anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders comorbidity is widespread, the urgent need for comprehensive intervention in the targeted population, reduce the burden of mental illness.(2) those patients with anxiety who were male, Han ethnicity, rural residents or accompanied by physical pain had higher risk of comorbidities with substance use disorders.(3) Anxiety disorder comorbidited with other mental disorders was significantly increased the loss of social function.
