Objective:To conduct nutritional risk screening on inpatients from the Oral and maxillofacial Surgical,Ningxia General Hospital Dental Hospital,using Nutritional Risk Screening 2002(NRS-2002) and investigate the nutritional supporting rate of inpatients for determining the reasonableness of the nutritional support. Methods:Nutritional risk sereen and the status of nutrition support were evaluated in hospitalized patients in Oral and maxillofacial Surgical,Ningxia General Hospital Dental Hospital. The total score greater than 3 was justified as at nutritional risk.Statistical Methods X2 test,P<0.05 for the differences, with statistical significance. Results:1.There were 274 male patients and 213 female patients in the totally patients,which account for 50.7% and 49.3%.The Han nationality accounts for 82.5%,the Hui nationality accounts for 15.3%,others nationality 2.3%.2.Among 487 patients, 153 patients which account for 31.4% were considered at malnutrition.3.Totally 487 patients were evaluated with NRS.Among them 63 Patients which account for 12.9% were considered at nutrition risk.4.Fractura,therioma and intection with nutritional risk are 26.8%,21.2%and18.4%.Benign tumour which account for 5.3%. 5. 56 patients in the malnutrition patients were with nutritional risk,accounting for 36.6%;the patients with their BMI<18.5 were 41.7% with nutritional risk. 6.In 63 Patients with nutritional risk 11 ones which account for 17.5% received nutritional suport.The nutrional support rate in 424 patients without nutritional risk is 4.5%. Conclusion:1.The prevalence of malnutrition and the risk of nutrition are31.4% and 12.9% in hospitalized Patients form Oral and maxillofacial Surgical,General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University.2.The actual nutrition support could not meet the need of hospitalized Patient so far.3. The NRS2002 to sereen the nutritional risk in the Oral and maxillofacial Surgical inpatients was feasible.
