Objective: This study aims to comprehensively collect the information of doctors' professional risk perception from the perspective of clinical doctors, and then build the structure framework of measuring doctors' professional risk perception by analyzing and classifying the information gathered, to provide empirical basis for scale design and questionnaire design of follow-up studies. Methods: Half open interviews were conducted among the clinical doctors of various subjects from 17 hospitals in different levels in 9 cities such as Wuhan,Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiangyang, Suizhou, etc. The content of this interview mainly includes the types and forms of professional risk that the doctors perceived. All interview records were transformed into word document text. The interview data was analyzed by the method of grounded theory. The structure framework of evaluating the measurement tools of doctors' professional risk perception was built through three-level coding which refers to open coding, axial coding and the core coding. Results: 1. 121 doctors were interviewed in this study, men accounted for67.90%, women accounted for 32.10%. Doctors aged 25 and under were accounted for 1.70%, aged 26 to 45 accounted for 84.30%, aged 46 and above accounted for14.00%, mainly young and middle-aged doctors. Doctors with bachelor degree and lower degree were accounted for 13.75%, master degree accounted for 17.50%,doctor degree accounted for 68.75%.2.The structure framework of doctors' professional risk perception built in thisstudy included the occupational exposure, career development, work load, patient safety, disputes and conflicts, the risk of social pass.Occupational exposure included physical occupational exposure and biological occupational exposure. Work load included workload and irregular working. Career development included occupational low salary and career advancement difficult. Patient safety included the risk of medical negligence and the risk of medical malpractice.Disputes and conflicts included the risk led by doctors and by patients. The risk of social pass included political and economic factors, cultural factors and information. Conclusion: Half open interviews were conducted among the clinical doctors in this study to comprehensively collect the information of doctors' professional risk perception, and the structure framework of doctors' professional risk perception was built by analyzing and classifying the information gathered according to the risk events that doctors perceived. The structure framework built by this method was more comprehensive and intuitive. It could provide empirical basis for scale design and questionnaire design of follow-up studies.Innovations: This study comprehensively built the structure framework of measuring and evaluating doctors' professional risk perception according to the risk events that doctors perceived for the first time.
